Judging by the number of happy cleaners, the headquarter buildings must be sparkling.
Those pigs didn't seem to be getting into the vibe though.
uh, i'm speechless... is this the same religion against tight pants, colored socks, df etc...?.
i think i'm in two religions... .
this video also looks very familiar, did they steal something from the apostates?

my wife's parents who are pretty obsessed with the watchtower religion are going on holiday more than they are at home these days and spending money like it is something evil to be got rid of.
i have not been to a meeting in a long time but after reading the thread on hysteria by campaign of hate and the whole tv broadcasting thing i got to wondering if they really are ramping up the 'sense of urgency'.
many on here are better informed than me so i'd be interested to hear whether this is a common thing..
Looking on the bright side, perhaps they're waking up and deciding to have some fun with their lives.
so i decided to sign up after many years of lurking.
started researching after finding out about ray franz, which inevitably brought me to this site.. i'm still well and truly inn, but don't want to give any information out, i'm sure you guys know the reasons.. since "jay double you .
org" came online, there has been a definite sense of hysteria with everyone who is "inn", and i get a feeling it's going to get a whole lot crazier as the years press on.. one point i would like to raise is that i feel, without a doubt, that 2034 is going to be the new finish line.
Welcome CoH (interesting user name!). I was never a JW (some relatives are though) but I can relate to your point about neutral feelings. I was brought up a catholic and one day as a young adult realised that I didn't believe any of it. However I didn't feel mad and I understood that my parents thought they were doing the right thing by bringing me up in that faith. It just wasn't for me so I simply stopped practising.
I understand that as a JW the demands can be greater and the anti-education stance of the GB has affected the lives of many on this site, but I'm glad that you are not overly stressed about things. I appreciate that ceasing being a witness can be trickier than leaving the catholic faith (potential shunning etc) but I hope that you are able to manage that without too much personal damage.
You might be right about 2034 although my hunch is that the GB will never again commit to a date. In this internet age they wouldn't recover when it passed uneventfully.
first i want to say that i really appreciate this forum.
most other places i've seen are nothing but filled with spite and hate.
this site is reasonable and supportive...thank you for that!.
i was reading on a european ex jw forum where some feel that watchtower's railing against higher education is primarily for north america issue.
this is due that many in usa and canada leave home to leave on campus.
it was mentioned that many young european jw attend universities and its not frowned on.. i found this odd because i heard what morris and losch said about education in italy.
an eldub recently said, " sure, we have changed many beliefs in the last 100 years, but christendom has had 2,000 years to clean up their act an they haven't done it.".
this was prompted by today's wt session which mentioned nathan knorr's eager acceptance of rutherford's refinements concerning the 1,260 days.
of course, he also said that he can't really keep up with everything.
so this weeks service meeting is so full of "crazy".
a whole 15 min part devoted to trying to indoctrinate everyone on how to "explain our beliefs on 1914".
then another 15 min part called "a tool to help us explain our beliefs about 1914".
i haven't read over much of the recent articles in the last decade from the wt.
i wonder if they will mention muslim extremists and use that fear as a control mechanism on their members.
i have a feeling they will resist mentioning islam specifically.
not sure if anyone knew about this:.

.
They do that every time they push a magazine through the letter box.
some of you may know my situation.
i'm still going to meetings, but i am a closet apostate and homosexual i. only keep going to meetings to please my family and some friends.
i guess i could tell my mom i no longer want to be a jehovah's witness and stop going to meetings, but i'm too scared to do it.
Whether you say something now or later is your call. The only advice I would give is to definitely go for the living on campus option. You will be much freer and able to live as you wish.
