  hey everyone, i have been reading this forum for about a month and decided to join in...great forum.

  i'm a licensed pilot, was an air traffic controller - got laid off, currently work in ground transportation...all of which by the way was frowned upon, mind you...and now i am working towards my certification in it systems technologies.

  JW Holocaust Survivors Account

  i was told by a very active witness, that since jw's also suffered along with the jews during the holocaust, apparently damages were paid out.

  the society manages the account with the survivors money in it, and supposedly looks for the survivors, or family of the survivors to get them their money.

  does anyone know anything about this.

  They just want to be right.

  The more dates they pick, they are eventually bound to be right. When it happens they can say, "see we picked THAT date" Nevermind they also picked ONE HUNDRED other dates. The more dates they pick, the better odds they have of being right.

  Gosh it is all just so twisted. I remember once when I protested to my father about my sister being shunned by them, he said " this is a loving arrangement, it is supposed to shock her into realizing what she has done wrong, and returning to Jehovah"

  Reality? My sister is demoralized, she feels worthless, inferior, has no self worth, self esteem, has lots of psychological issues to do her being shunned and made to feel like a 2nd class citizen by my family.

  Yes, LOVE true LOVE, so nice to see it in action.

  My mom smuggled a NWT into my house!

  i went to visit some friends in san diego and my little one (2 1/2) stayed the night at my moms house so she could visit with grandma.

  well when i picked her up she told me that she had taken her to "meeting" and that she had been a very good girl.

  well i didnt want to make a big deal about taking her to meeting because i really needed some grown up time and it was nice for my mom to offer to take my daughter for the night.

  Having one just about that age too, I can tell you they do forget about things very easily when something better comes along. I agree with the just replace it idea. Take the Elvis and hide it, when she asks for it say you cant find it but then, get her something better, with a pretty picture on the front or something, and she will probably forget about her little elvis.

  Gall Bladder....Is yours in or out?

  so here's the deal and question...... .

  about 9 years ago i had pain so bad it sent me to emergency to find out what was going on...needless to say they admitted me to find out what was going on because i had pain like this 3 times before but did not go to the hospital...i ended up going to the or to have my gall bladder removed and remained in the hospital for a total of 11 days....when all was said and done they said i was curred now and would never experince that kind of pain again... ( i was eating kfc when the pain started.

  since then i have not touched the stuff) .

  I had mine out last year, laperscopic surgery, all better within just a few days. But I was mis or not daignosed for more than a year, and the pain/pressure is just awful. Sometimes I think I am starting to feel it again, on a way more mild level, then it goes away. Like others have said, I think you may still have a problem in your common bile duct, since that connects things like your liver, gall bladder, I think the pancreas too. Would be worth getting that checked out.

  Please hang in there! You are doing the best thing you can possibly to for your children. Good news on the order the judge issued for your wife to stay away for atwo weeks. I think this means things will go in your direction, when the final judgement is issued.

  Where were you three years ago today?

  i was thinking last night that 9/11/01, for this generation, is somewhat akin to 11/22/63 (jfk's assassination) for previous generations.

  i remember listening to the adults' stories when i was a child of where they were and what they were doing when jfk was assassinated.. so where were you on 9/11/01?

  how has that day affected your life?.

  I was at home in bed, on complete bed rest having pre-mature labor with my 2nd pregnancy. My mother called at 7:30 a.m. and woke both my husband and me up, told us to turn on the tv. I was horrifed, we watched and cried, and watched and cried, literally all day long. I kept thinking about what my baby was about to be born into.

  Best 3 Year Old Toys

  any ideas?

  i'm shopping online for birthday presents for my husband's 3 year old twin cousins (1 boy, 1 girl).

  i really don't know what 3 year olds like or what is "hot" right now in the toy business.

  My little girl (almost 3) loves the three princess (Disney) Dolls, little castles, dress up clothes, Barbie items, cell phones purses, videos. Anything Strawberry short cake or Hello Kitty, or Dora the Explorer. For the boy, how about anything Spider Man, they make the little hands that shoot out a silly string, sponge bob toys, or incredible Hulk, (they make Hulk Hands big like boxing gloves that roar like the hulk) Just some of the things my kids have, ages 3 and 6. Good luck, have fun!

  I can't sleep :S

  i've never experienced insomnia before in my life.

  lately i've been waking up around three or four in the morning and staying awake for several hours before going back to sleep shortly before my alarm goes off.. this is driving me nuts!

  i normally wake up feeling refreshed, but now i'm dragging myself out of bed and going through the day feeling sleepy.

  also, calcium, take calcium. It is a very good de-stressor. Stress has alot to do with insomnia.
