  Today's speaker - statistics re terrorism

  according to today's speaker: up till 1971 there had only been 24 people killed by terrorists.

  by 1983 there had been 17,000 and it's still on the rise.

  my question: what is the definition of terrorism?

  How many millions of jews killed by Hitler? I would call that terrorism.

  Womens LIBBER? You're kidding right? Even so, they get listed with all that horrible stuff? Sounds a little chauvenistic to me.

  how it began: i was recruited during the time i was escaping from a violent husband to a shelter.

  a witness came to my door as i was preparing to move during the day without him knowing (while he was at work).

  Hello there, and welcome. The very first part of your story sounds just exaclty like my mothers. She had planned to commit suicide, and kill all of her 5 children, because my father was violent. Same story, she was saved at the door, just in the nick of time. Difference is she stayed with him, and he became a jw too. I am happy for you, not only that you are now out, but that you were able to use a psychiatrist to help you with your exit issues. That is great! Again, welcome and hope to hear more from you soon.

  Yes, unfortunately. Just like the rule about oral sex. You would think what does it matter anyway, cuz whose gonna tell. But guess it has happened.

  My knee hurts when I *don't* run.

  i like to run, but if i ever go a week or more without running my left knee starts getting very sore.

  once i go out an run again the pain will go away so long as i keep running every other day.. anyone have any idea why this would be?

  Looks out her driveway & the ambulance is there! The older sister somehow got her dress caught under the car or something and broke her shoulder, the younger sister kind of ran her over (?) My friend comes out to see what's going on in her driveway and asks if she could pray for the woman. No comment, just glares. She truly meant it though, not to be mean. She asks me if she's not allowed to pray for them?! good grief. Maybe more service is needed for a complete healing! carla

  I remember this coming up, actually when I was a JW. I'm trying to remember the reasoning. From what I can remember it all depends on your age. If you're a senior citizen, then its most likely a "grey area", get it, grey area??

  And if you are a young one, then your privates will have to be reproved. Der, maybe thats backwards, oh yea, its private reproof, thats it. Hey it's been a long time.

  But really, I rememer the deal being too that it made a big difference what shape you shaved it into. If you shaved little watchtowers, or the letters NWT, then you were allright.

  But if you shaved in the shape of a unicorn, smurf, or the initials JWD, then you were outa there, on account of apostacy and all.
