  hi all, just wondering how many have given up the man or woman they love for the borg?

  i know it's a painful subject for some.

  i gave up my first love when i was studying.

  Gadget our wives sound similar...mine has told me she wished I had cheated on her...I guess to make it easier to leave.....As Winston would say sorry I only cheated on your Vengeful God Jehover and his almighty borganization.

  I didn't actually give up love for the wt but I had someone I loved and was totally compatible with leave me because the elders told her too......she called me several months later and told me she still loved me and would I take her back....I said no and soon after she married someone she had told me she could never love. They'rre divorced now but I hear she is remarried and has a beautiful child...good for her she deserves to be happy...she was a real firecracker too.

  Sidenote: I have found many in the borg get married before they even know each other and the divorce rate seems to be nearly as high as it is on the outside.

  i just had a really bad day at work.

  apart from what you'd normally expect from a 15 hr shift, tonight vitually everything that could go wrong did.

  when i got home i decided to have a drink(the first since emans barbie!!!

  Damn it..why does Logan get to bite Ravyn and for 75% of the time even.

  berylblue...I can tell by your posts you are a loving person.

  As I am quite new to the forum I have started to research back through the threads to see what I have missed. For the most part I see caring human beings...some days its a harsh word by a poster and other days its words of encouragement from that same poster.

  Thats what life seems to be...ups and downs no way around them. I try my best to put a little levity into threads even when I'm debating with scholar....

  I've read a few threads where if words were bullets than duck and run for cover was the only advice, then the threads softened as ones either apoligized or restated themselves to clear up a misunderstanding. The great thing about it all is that you can be honest, try to imagine being honest with your comments when you were an active dub..........I can't.

  Instead of all these local apostafests lets have an international celebration of freedom, freedom to think and speak about whatever and to whomever we please.

  ***the mole**** i had a discussion with a friend about some things the org covered up.

  starting with a calm subject about her and her husband being tricked with a fraudulent scheme for buying discount gas and that several witness were duped and lost alot a money.

  i advised that the da's office found it difficult to prosecute because witness' believe not suing each other.

  Sad isn't it mole..

  She said satan is trying to shame Jah name by having the molested people sue the congregations.....How could she not see the shame was when the molestations took place and were then covered up....how could that bring any glory to Gods name?

  every so often, i'll read on the board how some just hate jw's.

  whether it's the individuals or the organization, some vehemently abhor everything connected to jehovah's witnesses.

  i do not personally hate anyone.

  Minimus/Hamas I'd like to thank you for all the great info you post and Hamas thats a great website bro.

  Have you seen Night of the living dead..When mindless zombie's terrize a town and bang on doors until they break them down then thery eat your brain and you become one too.

  Its the WTBTS control over the minds of all its followers in a similar fashion which drives most people nuts. I have seen non-JW people who I could only refer to as kind and loving flip out when JW comes into the discussion...At the time I thought how sad...now I pretty much understand their frustration.

  I don't hate anyone inparticular...I hate that it blocks the thinking process...I hate that children are taught to hate anyone who is not a JW...I hate that children are taught God will hate them if they disobey JW rules....I despise the fact that JW teachings have made the bible invalid to me and many others...If nothing else it should be a book that could be studied for the principles of love and mercy that Jesus taught instead they have tainted it with their lies.
