  when i first found sites like this one, i still thought that ethical reform of the watchtower was.

  Do you think the WT softened on the vaccination issue to allow missionaries into various countries?

  I feel similar to you metatron when I hear ones say they want to reform the WT.

  Why would I want to reform a cult? If you look at it another way, why would I want to reform false religion? To make it more tolerable in some way...maybe make it more like a mainstream religion or even a different cult. So instead of trying to get out with ones family its stay in and make the cult more tolerable.

  No one will try to convince you to leave ..that's your choice but this is not exactly the place to get people to encourage you back either, especially to the family the cong and the friends that shun you. They sound so loving I don't know how you can stay away?

  For me My wife left me for a period of time with our daughter and was rewarded handsomly from friends and relatives with cards telling her she was doing the right thing and Jah would bless her. My crime...apostatsy* people screaming, children crying, woman faints* Not open apostasy but I confided in her and family....so what if all I showed them was info from the WT...so what if no one could answer a question without merely accepting the Org's explanation..just make sure its the latest explanation.

  Funny that my wife could not find a thing in the bound volumes and suddenly she knows about spiritual endangerment...hmmmmmm...coaching maybe.

  i have to admit, over the last few days/past week, there's nothing like a good link to unique and interesting artwork to help you, get 'through' a difficult moment.. mr. chihuly's glasswork, is incredible.. the more and more i would delve deeply into his website, i would become mesmerized by it.. the colours, the craftmanship, and 'chihuly' trademark, were simply 'brilliant'!.

  I often feel like I have no special talent, singing, playing an instument or painting...etc

  And then I see a guy painting pictures with a broom ....WOW...what's wrong with me.....I think there are people who throw their bodies covered in paint onto a canvas and people buy it as well.

  I gotta start being more creative.

  ai had the opportunity today to go over this thread with a jw and they almost passed out , for this is what a number of them in their hall were discussing this pass sunday- the shear number of friends who are suffering from depression-

  I'm sorry for your past problems but am glad to see your doing better and have freed yourself from False religion(WT).

  Someday maybe you can teach me and my daughter how to snowboard.....Now that would be something to look forward too..

  What Things Used To Bother Your Conscience???

  we were always being told that we must be careful not to "stumble" others.

  we were instructed to think about the consciences of others.

  was there anything that used to bother your conscience that now doesn't?

  I think my conscience bothered me about almost everything..even not having the WT prepared, not commenting, not putting in enough service time and fudging my report to keep the elders off my back...etc

  yes ... you heard me correctly.

  sometime ago we saw how chimps made tools by using other tools.

  we saw how they learned language and could construct a basic sentance on their own, as well as learn to read a little ... well now ... a new study has been completed where monkeys were paid tokens for completing certain tasks ... the monkeys saved up their tokens ... and then they were offered to trade their tokens for things like food, etc.

  Now, I'd be impressed if they made an idol, appeared to worship at it,and left food offerings that the whole group left as sacred

  It happened twice...The first group of monkeys worshipped C.T Russell and the second group worshipped J.F Rutherford
