  my neighbor didn't come on time, and her line was busy, so i went over to see if there was a problem.

  she was cheerfully eating lunch, and by the time she finally made it over to my place it was 1 1/2 hours late.

  Perfectly worded Derek.......I appreciated the word agonizing which you used to describe the turmoil you have gone through to formulate this reply to your brother.

  My nephews which are not part of this religion or part of my dub family because their parents were shunned have almost no relatives. It has left them forever questioning why they have no grandparents, uncles..ect. Even though theses people live only miles away. The answer is.... that religion.

  Your comment to him continually calling it his religion is also telling. Most JW's take a step back when you say that. When elders came to readjust my thinking they talked about truth and other things and when I cornered them and they admitted we have continually taught false teachings as truth they then struck back with.... but even if this is not the truth there is no better religion. I said... thank you for admitting this is just a religion.

  if anyone's been to wt farm, they have their own graveyard.. because so many of the 'anointed' are buried there, it's known locally as "the launch pad.

  i am a jehovah?s witness that has had a lot of doubts the past 5 or 6 months.

  i don?t know where to turn or what to do.

  i have given my all to jehovah and am scared that if this is not the truth then where will i go.

  Hello whatthe...

  It can be consuming the first few months as you begin to examine and scrutinize the WT teachings to convince yourself either that they are or they are not directed by God.

  My advice to you is..if you have not already revealed your doubts to fellow witness, don't. Finish what you need to do for yourself first.

  Then go on the forum and read some of the posts by Amazing relating his exit from the organization and how he worked to free his family. Another good book to read before revealing anything is Releasing the Bonds by Steven Hassan. This will equip you better in dealing and talking with Witness relatives and friends.

  It becomes inevitable that you will need to reveal yourself sooner or later, its better when your in total control with a plan. The plan I had that everyone would believe me sucked big time and I didn't have a plan B.

  isbn 0-7607-0967-x.

  it tells of the search for the origins of the masonic lodge and the freemasons.. in the course of their search, they uncover some very interesting information - which they share in this book.. while initially, i was not interested in learning about the masonic lodge... i found that when & how it tied into religion - was very fascinating and made a lot of sense.. regards,.

  What does the word "apostate" mean to you ?

  i'm not asking for which dictionary definition you prefer, and i'm not looking for the borg's definition.

  what i'm asking is what thought strikes you when you hear an xjw being called an "apostate".

  that term makes me think.

  I asked the elders what they meant when they said I was thinking like an apostate....They were stumped for a minute..they say it all the time without thinking about it...so I told them the dictionary says it's someone who rejects their religion or former beliefs.

  Then the clincher...I said under that definition the WT org is an apostate org because it rejects most of its present beleifs every few years.

  They're reply..the light gets brighter ....ho ..hum

  My idea of the word apostate everytime I hear a dub say it is ''satan worshipper'' that's what they really mean. There are only two sides in their minds.Jehovah and satans.

  What about all the perfect sinless angels which rebelled and got a suspended sentence?

  The boys in brooklyn will not provide anything in the way of an answer, they cannot understand simple bible truths like mercy and forgiving.

  As far as Adam and Eve go..read the book Who Wrote the Bible....fascinating the way it opens up the politics involved in the writing of the bible and how this becomes evident when you know what to look for.
