The reason the Organization can not be held responsible for changing things into conscience matters is because they have no conscience.

"Landrew" vs "Borg"
by Stephanus inin classic star trek there was an episode entitled "the return of the archons" where the crew of the enterprise beamed down to a planet where the starship "archon" had last been reported, some time previously.
they found themselves in a stagnated victorian era society of people going mindlessly about their business, rattling off platitudes like "peace be with you, friend" to passers by.
the society turned out to be controlled by a supercomputer which had taken on the name (and projected image) of landrew (or landru), its creator some millennia previously.

by stillajwexelder inok - some of this may be personal and some may not want to answer - -i know there are loads of ex-elders and one or two serving elders on this board, there is at least onn ex-missionary on here also -- are there any ex cos dos branch -- there is obviously at laest 1 ex-bethelite -- can some one clue me in what "rank" sorry to use that phrase it truly angers me really -- are people who are able to speak on this board

The visible Organization has been replaced by a New Invisible Organization which was needed by Christ for his Invisible presence.
Ripleys believe it or not exhumed C.T Russells body and found The Finished Mystery clutched in his hands although the Book was released two years after his death.
They then examined J.F Rutherfords grave and found Jimmy Hoffa's body instead with a picture of Gumby clutched in his hands...spooky.

Cappucino and Coverups: my JW neighbor came over today...
by bebu inmy jw neighbor wasn't able to come on monday after all, but we rescheduled our meeting for today (wednesday).
on monday, i had a bit of material around, and my next-door neighbor stopped in.
i found out that she was in a bible study with some jws!

Bebu there are alot of inconsistencies in the bible, thinking of the post that was made about the army officer who was baptized.
Daniel was raised as a Babylonian and was made head of the magic practising priests of Nebuchadnezzar....how could a true worshipper accept that post?
The bible always says religous leaders are held more accountable than their followers yet Aaron built the Golden calf which caused the death of all those who worshipped it except him. Then Aaron and Miriam spoke out against Moses and God stuck Miriam with leprosy and left Aaron alone...why?
If you get a chance read Who Wrote the Bible .....it's a good read.

Bebu I think I'm in love...your so intelligent and you roast your own coffee too.
The Proclaimers book is a good one to use, its current in JW eyes and exposes many things which most JW's don't take time to notice.
If you want I can e-mail you a document which I spent a little time putting together on the proclaimers book.
Also in the Proclaimers book it shows the Cover of The Watchtower right up to 1931, there are two symbols prominently displayed in each corner of the WT. Next time if you get into the occult or before you get into it show her those symbols and see if she knows what they are there for and what purpose they would have in true worship.
That may be too indepth...you sure are doing great though! keep it up!

Most witness's don't even look at the pictures in their books.
by Singing Man inlike the one of the little girl falling into a big crack in the earth, a picture of amagedon from the paradise book.
few witness's stop and ponder just how sick that really is to show kids that at a young age.
if anyone has that post it to this thread for others to see just how hurtful that could be for children of a tender age.

I've been called a negative person always putting a bad spin on WT publications by family members. The other week I showed the newest childrens book to my childs daycare teachers to see their reactions without any prior input from myself. They apolagized and said it was too graphic and violent to be allowed in the school. She told me they try to teach the children to love and accept everyone and would not use books which depict people being destroyed for their beliefs or lack of them. I wanted to say Amen but didn't.
The teachers also noticed the part where it talks about sexual molestation and commented again without me saying a word that this book makes it seem like it's the childs fault.
I talked to her for about an hour about JW beliefs and how they use publications like this to instill phobias in children which last a lifetime.
It was a wonderful discussion.
