My 4 year old daughter has declared us JW free!!!!
by choks inwell exactly as the title says...my 4 year old daughter, obviously tired of my dithering has taken matters into her own hands!.
the background is that i was bought up in the troof, and began my fade about 6 months ago.
i had been talking to my daughter about us not going to the meetings anymore and she accepted it very well.

Mulan..you have me crying damn you...you really know how to pull on a guy's heart strings.
I hated having to get up to pack his lunch, make his breakfast, Another biggie...................have more than one TV!! Then he can use that remote to his heart's content and I could care less.

Tired? When will you stop talking about Jehovah's Witnesses?
by Joker10 inanybody would agree that talking about jehovah's witnesses over and over, and then over some more can get anybody tired and sick.
except, of course, those who are obsessed over them.
don't you think there will be a point when you won't talk or even mumble about jehovah's witnesses?

Are you speaking about at the meetings, in the door to door work or here on the Forum?

Unconditional love, unselfish love and constant love... a very good start anyway.
I think being open and trusting are on top of the list as well, if you and your hubby are best friends then you are certainly on the right path.
Stay on that path Desib...and what a lucky man you have!

My poor Father
by Nosferatu ini talked to my mother yesterday.
i had to call her regarding my brother's legal name (why are all the names in my family f***ed up??
) anyway, she told me that she was getting my dad's (old meeting) suit ready for my wedding, and he got pissed off and said, "oh, so you're forcing me to go?

JWD half-way house...
by onacruse indo you see jwd as a half-way house?.
my opinion: if it's not, then we've done nothing other than join another religion (the "anti-wts-ism" church just around the corner, praise god).. if it is a half-way house, then there comes a time when we must move on.... or are there other good and sufficient reasons to 'stick with it'?.
your thoughts?.

Craig....JWD is by no means a religion, although for some of us maybe it has replaced religion in our lives.
We went to weekly meetings because we felt we belonged there, we went in field service and studied our publications to share both time and experience with people who we felt we belonged with as well.
When we were knee deep in WT teachings those people were our family and the kinship we felt being Jehovah's chosen people was wonderful.
When the wall of lies came crashing down who better to understand than people who were on those walls with us.
I know your at a different stage of exiting than myself. I see the change in your posts over the last few months, it's impossible to miss.
I just want you to know and always remember what a great comfort and support you have been to me and many others on this forum.
Craig I think about jumping in the car and driving down to see you all the time, I promise I will soon, I'm still working on a few loose ends of my own.
See ya soon...Shotgun
