One of my short stories has been published on line.
by JeffT inhas nothing to do with witnesses.
but it is at www.militaryhistoryonline.com it's the only entry under "fiction.
i know military fiction is an odd subject for an ex-dub, but it's always been a big interest, and it's what i'm most interested in writing (i'm 40,000 words into my current project, about half done)..

Curiousity about current JW Views on going into churches
by Brymichmom ini've been following a thread on another forum where jw's are insisting that it is ok for them to go inside churches for weddings, funerals, etc.
they say it's quite ok to go inside any church just as long as they don't participate in the service by singing, praying, kneeling...etc...some of them say that they have seen "guest speakers" in churches who came as watchtower representatives.
when did this ever change?

In the area I grew up it was up to each person how they felt, we went to funerals and weddings in churches and my oldman was a elder.

I'm so excited! Got the proof for my book cover today!
by SanFranciscoJim inwell, it's been a long time coming, but my publisher just sent me the proof for the cover of my sci-fi novel today, and it looks fantastic!
i wrote back and told them it was well worth the wait.. as soon as they release the book, i'll make a shameless announcement so you can all rush out and buy a copy.
(unless, of course, you want me to come to your town for a book-signing!

dinosaurs(sp?)

my daughter came home the other night from her grandma(jw) saying that she wouldn't let her watch a show about dinosaurs on discovery channel because what they were showing is not true.
dinosaurs were not meat eaters.

Questions..falling in love with a JW...
by twizzle ini'd like the answer to the "boy meets worldly girl" question as well.
i was going to reply to the previous post but realized when i got to the end of my rant that other topics worth considering are mentioned in my message:
as a "worldly girl" (well, i'm 29) i've spent the last few days reading all i can about "the society" and trying to figure out what the hell has gone on in my life for the past few months.
