I agree with the facts that it is easyer to forgive, but i also know how difficult it is to forget, especially when we have had very bad experiences. It is true is better for our health not to ponder over and over again, but forgiving & forgettin is a strong instrument and not many knows how to use it, specially when it never get better for the simplest reason that is the other party that would not let go.I have seen lot of stuff like this one and I know it is very self distructive. Therefore is much better to exercise a little every day the fruitage of the spirit with courage, rather then end-up sick and bitter. ciao Arancia

Why is a trauma to move out from an organisation like the j.w ?
by arancia ini was converted j.w about 15years ago but last year i got to know what sort of people they were in reality.
my husband and i made the decision in five minutes.within few days we sent a very brief letter that stated in few words that we were living the oganisation disgusted for what we so in tv on channel 9 the previous sunday.
we reach very fast that decision because we freely and voluntarily got in ,therefore with the same spirit got out.

It is very interesting to see how little they can see.Sunday show is on every week, and is free of charge.I was in the same shoes ,listening the same talk, preaching, etc etc.and yet never sure I was doing the right thing.I want it to make sure of every thing sooo,I practised the thing they teached.Because I knew The world pretty well,I was not afraid of it,but I did not much the insiders to trust completly,I was not wrong.

It would have been more a trauma to stay in than move out quietely ma assuredly. Forever happy.

How does a JW know if they are one of the annointed?
by carcroft congregation infirst time i have ever posted a message so my apologies if i am not as succinct in my use of language as some of the other contributors appear to be.
my cousin, who was in his late 20's at the time, announced that he was one of the 144,000 in the mid eighties.
his poor mother, who was scitzophrenic, was hospitalised as the shock sent her into an attack.

I agreed with all of you.If you start an argoment convinced that by starting an argoment you are sure to be the winner, you presumptiously have lost your battle, because you are showing a quite dominant attitude, you are depriving the other part of freedom of speech and oppinions. Many arguments can not agreed with you or me but the point is,this country of ours is ethinic and therefore, there are lots of things that we may do not have in common, with others but we still can live happly together once we have learned that some argument just can not be won because we are all different .The entire world is in troble for the some things that is :SOME ARGUMENTS JUST CAN NOT BE WON .. Is the WTS slowly turning into a mainstream religion?
by obiwan ini took this off of xjw_b12's thread.
(hope you don't mind).
"when considering whether to include a pinata at a social gathering, christians should be sensitive to the consciences of others.

the wst do not have much time available to reach the dream to be turning into a mainstream religion. The end of this system of thing is very near,so it will never come true. The catholic church ,`when every thing started two thousand of years ago,had all the time to change the way it is nowday`,as far as i can see this change for the jw is too faraway and according to there teaching, they should live every things in God`s hands. Therefore, they should just let God work it out.

Here's a Good Example of Elder Humility!
by Voyager inthis elder refers to (himself)14 times in this article.
james 4: 16 reminds us, "but now you take pride in your self-assuming brags.
all such taking of pride is wicked.

What you said is very true voyager, but do not forget this is the typical attitude of most of them.If this is the way he introduce himself at the door-to door preacing work, well he will not last for very long on this absurd subject of self glorification. The more he tried to impress others the more presumpuous he will appears in the eyes of humble and non humble ones.It seems to me that he does not read the bible enough ,otherwise he would have know how little instead he is in the eyes of GOD.
