Jws differ from Mormons in a key area that will lead to their collapse. Mormons allow their members to make something of their lives. Play pro sports, even run for president. Just as economic collapse brought down many totalitarian regimes, the lack of opportunity will kill JWs. You can't keep telling people to wait until the new system to live their life. JWs today have something the old JWs didn't. Perspective. We can look back in time and see that the message has been repeated for 100 years. People with grey hair postponed their entire lives. We can see this. And we don't want that to be us. Doomsday cults have a limited lifespan. Even Ecclesiastes says expectation postponed is making the heart sick. read Langston Hughes dream deferred poem. That's why Mormons will stick around and we won't.

i'm a still in jw but i've been mentally out for about two months.
i'm an ms and i'm also gay so i have two lots of 'coming out' to do very soon!.

friend from north carolina, he told me yesterday that they just got a letter that all traveling overseers (do's & co's) age 70 & up are going to be laid off on 09/01/2014.
they will be asssigned to local congregations and further details are pending.. .

The rebellion will begin at the top. It will be because of things like thiS and not teachings. For example, if you go to mts and then get cancer on your assignment you're screwed. They won't care for you. So unloving. Funny how the apostles wrote letters to the congregations not telling them to do more service time, but instead telling them to share more and help the poor.

All totalitarian regimes eventually collapse. Or end in tragedy. Humans love freedom. The GB has become more high control. People are living fake lives and we are being told to guard against our own friends and family. Everyone could possibly be a false apostle or apostate. It's sickening. The level of distrust they are trying to instill in order to close ranks against satan.
I predict a sudden Soviet Union style collapse and rebirth. It will start at the top with DOs and COs and some big shots resigning due to a disagreeing with the GB. Considering that top officials are leaking confidential info this could happen soon. I wouldn't be surprised if someone is sitting on some damaging child abuse documents or real estate documents. This will give permission for others to follow. The JWs will not go down because of crazy teachings. They will go down due to the leadership and hypocrisy at headquarters. People will lose faith in the men they won't admit they're actually followIng.
Eventually the org will reemerge in a different package to attract new followers Or focus on poorer countries. It will probably take 20 years to recover.

Yes great points. It's amazing how much better you feel once you break free . I dont even mind thw meetings anymore because I know I wont be guilted. And I took zero notes at our recent assembly. FS is annoying because its a waste of gas and a Saturday morning. I'll ditch that soon too.

This coming from long time JWs of 30 years plus. Then we received a letter asking us for contributions to cover the deficit we ran at the assembly. The letter blamed the deficit on the malfunctioning ATM machines. The real reason is that when people become apathetic the first thing they stop giving is their money. Then they stop giving their time. I haven't donated a cent since I awakened. Neither have I worked on a RBC project. I believe the new loads of ridiculous teachings are creating new levels of cognitive dissonance. People are tired of being told not to improve their lives materially and then being asked to spend money "sacrifice" on a convention. The effects are being felt. The scare tactics are falling on deaf ears. I doubt people will even be affected by this angry letter. Oh yeah we got the letter about the zone visit. Nobody cared. No buzzor excitement . Governing Body is running out of tricks in the 21st century.

This is before we received the please come to the International convention letter. The buzz after the meeting was that the letter was unprecedented. Of course this apathy is being spun as the israelites committing fornication right before entering the promised land. He also told me the Governing Body has no idea when the end will come and that they didn't expect to still be here. He's an example of a person who sees that something is rotten but wants to hang on because of the fear of being wrong and getting destroyed.

Hey fake fading. Isn't it funny how Jehovah is using "apostates " like us as MS. Goes to show you how much Jehovahs spirit is with this organization. At least you're not giving a talk on the assembly while carrying on an affair. I've seen that before. Plus there are "apostates" at the highest levels of the organization leaking confidential videoes and letters. On this forum you will learn things before the congregation does. We all knew about the assembly changes in advance.
