I believe religion will always exist. However, certain groups have a life cycle as other posters mentioned. The current JW model will drive them into extinction. They will have to evolve like the Catholic Church did. If they choose not to, they they will fade into obscurity as did many other groups before their time. When youre a doomsday group you have a limited life cycle. They will have to evolve.

org is dying
by lambsbottom ini don't understand why so many ex jws and faders think that the jws will continue to grow and thrive as a religion.
i still attend a meeting once a week and you can smell the death of the religion creeping up when you hear the talks, read the study wts and hear the letters from the gb.
the way the organization has changed is a sign that it reached its peak (in "healthy" membership) long ago.

I love seeing the fans from different countries and it reminds me of how big the world is. So many people who are born and raised with a completely different outlook on life. im loving it. Watching the World Cup makes me love being a human despite all the bad things in the world. A sport I don't even care about unites people. I'm talking to random people from different countries about the matches. Playful banter. I thought only in Jehovah'a organization could you find people from different countries being friendly.

Guidelines for Traveling Overseers (tga-S)
by hildebrando intoday, thanks to a brave do and my colleague elkatire 1980, we make make public the manual, guidelines for traveling overseers (tga-s), of which existence many suspected, but even in english, it wasnt available.. from its very title page, this book indicates in bold letters:.
it should not be shown to others, nor should any portion of it be reproduced.
note: for now, this book is only available in spanish, but we are working in translating a brief summary in english, hoping that someone from the english congregations makes it available to you soon.. http://hildeydesa.blogspot.com/2014/06/pautas-para-los-superintendentes.html.

So my years spent in the Spanish congregation finally paid off. Lol in the comments some angry JW apologist posts and quickly gets destroyed.

"New Light" discretely slipped in on the 2014 regional convention: Paradise in heaven.
by EdenOne in2014 regional convention:.
on friday, on the last speech of the morning, (the "key speech"), a bethel member slipped in some "new light" rather casually, without much fuss.
he mentioned the out-of-body experience of the apostle paul, in 2 corinthians 12:2-4, where he experienced being "caught up to the third heaven ... caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible words...".

This explanation as well as the previous are absolute trash. How yoi could postulate such nonsense is beyond me, whether you believe the bible or not. I were doing a book report on a fantasy novel and came up with sinch a convoluted explanation, surely I would deserve an F.

I'm a young person who woke up. Most JWs my age font give a crap about spiritual stuff, and couldn't explain doctrines. One friend of mine said "JWs are lazy, I know I am." Most young JWs are only in because they believe going to meetings and service will get them saved. Many including pioneers and MS are leading double lives. they are there for the social aspect of things. My ex didn't know anything doctrinally and has major doubts, Hershey decided she wants to stay mostly out of fear of being destroyed. the organization is counting on the laziness of JWs to continue pulling the wool over their eyes. Unfortunately this means that they cannot attract any mentally or emotionally healthy converts. Any intelligent person would run after a quick google search. I love it when born in JWs debate whether or not they would be a JW if they weren't born in. Most say no.

@onthewayout I think the elders liked you. Of they like you they will usually let you go in peace. If you're too defiant then they will have it out for you. I think the fact that you were once in the exclusive elder club helped.

How is the org really run? What goes on behind the scenes?
by Magnum inhow is the org really run?
what goes on behind the scenes?.
i just read an older post on this site that was recently bumped (http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/6600/1/don-adams-biography) the post mentioned the adams brothers don, karl, & joel and how influential they are/were at headquarters.

I have relatives at bethel. I dont believe the governing body has been running the show since they were booted off the board of directors. Guys like franz and jarcz nearly wrecked the organization. They are figurehead now. Very powerful figureheads. The corporation presidents are the neck that turn the head. I've met Leon weaver before. I believe ray franz mentioned him in his book. He's an organization enforcer and very smart. The governing body like most anointed ones we know are weirdos. They have no education or training to run a billion dollar company. No legal or management experience. When you see child abuse policy changes, the new financial scheme and elimination of overseers, that's the work of the corporate heads. Franz and jarcz as I mentioned nearly ran the ship into the ground. The corporation presidents call the shot now and the governing body just signs off. And by corporations I also mean the legal department. The governing body only deals with giving talks and doctrinal things.

I know this sounds gross
by Doug Mason inthere is a medical procedure known as: fecal microbiota transplantation (or transfusion).. has the watchtower society identified whether blood is possibly transfused through this process?
if it has, what is its verdict?
if it has not investigated this medical procedure, why hasn't it?.
-
kneehighmiah
It not really a transfusion. Transfusion is a combination of the words transplant and infusion. transfusions are intravenous. The stool is administered by enema or through colonoscope directly to the gut and not through a vein. This makes it a transplant. the Pharisees in Brooklyn approve of transplants.

Also called a stool (poop) transplant. It's been effective in helping people with antibiotic resistant gut infections like C. Difficole. they take someone else's poop and put it into your gut. It helps restore normal healthy biota which inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria.
