started a thread about not feeling well and asked what others biggest complaints were right now.. so i got to thinking, what is the opposite?
what is the one thing that gives you a reason most to smile and get out of bed in the morning.

How sad! I remember him frm SeaQuest...I'd completely forgotten about that show. I had no idea he was the same kid in Neverending Story 2. :(
When you start selling those stickers, BB, I'll buy one! ;-)
i have a question.
i know of a couple that were both jws and the husband was dissatisfied with the organization and wanted out.
is it possible for a marriage like this to function?
As far as I know, dubs aren't required to shun df'd ones if they live in the same household with them. I don't have research to back that up, sorry. :) But I'm sure the active dub would do all they could to bring the other one back...wouldn't exactly make for a strife-free existance... :(
as a kid i would try to pay attention, but i just couldn't hang in there.
if i didn't day dream i was going to go insane.. i used to create scenarios in my mind that i was a jw super hero.
i had a special costume that was partially made of "flubber" that would allow me to bounce all over the auditorium.
Ha haa! I used to daydream that violent apostates would rush the stage with guns and kidnap the speakers. That's too funny!
As I got older my daydreams turned to boys...and then later to girls...
do any of you start humming a kingdon tune out of the blue?
i do from time to time, i love music you can take any key and there will be a kingdom song that starts with it.
that is how i learned how to play a harmonica was by remembering the tunes of jehovah's witness's.
YES, I hate it! I'll be cleaning up around the house and find myself humming...wonder what I'm humming...oh lord it's another Kingdom Song!! :p Then begins the mad dash to get something ELSE stuck in my head. ;P
.
my cat shadow has been dying to use the keyboard, so i'll let him:.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk,9o0ppppppppppppppppppppppppppppoooooooolppp, .
Hee hee! Nosferatu has an apostacat! :D
my son and i were chatting on msn earlier today (errrr yesterday) and fortunately we were also talking on the phone because he was making no sense.
he kept typing "fart" and "burp" (he's only 7) and he was giggling like mad.
my son is a typical boy....lol!
What? You guys are blowing my mind, and I'm 28! I never realized all those songs had the same tune. LOL The things you can learn from people talking to their kids... :-o
ok, i know this has already been posted directly and indirectly.
now that we are getting into the holiday season.
how did you feel the first time you set holiday decorations at your home.
I've always gotten warm fuzzies around the holiday season ;) I've always loved Christmastime...all the lights and the free cookies whereever you go...a lot of Witnesses complained about how crabby people are this time of year but to me it's always seemed that they were just a little more friendly, a little more giving. I am totally thrilled about actually being able to join in the festivities this time instead of watching from a distance. :) Even the music isn't bothering me as much...
well, the shunning begins.
we finally had "the" discussion with my parents, that we no longer consider ourselves jw's, and a little bit of why we felt that way.
of course, "dad the elder and po" and mom the pioneer dutifully informed us that not only will they be "loyal to the organization" and shun us completely, but that he would immediately let the other elders know, so that proper judicial action could be taken.. it was a heart wrenching discussion, with all of us, including my two young boys (9 and 10) all balling our eyes out.
Ugh, what a horrible thing. I completely empathize. (((((HUGS)))))
Cruzanheart is right...go to the apostafest if you can! I went to one a couple of months after I was mentally free (a few mos. before I told my parents) and I made a new best friend there, which was sorely needed after I started to get shunned. It will make a big difference.
I'm really glad you got out before your kids became indoctrinated. Good for you. :)
Best of luck to you.
