What is your weirdest field service experience ?
by cookiemaster inmine just popped in my head and i just had to share it.
a few years ago i went with a special pioneer(and elder) at one of his studies who was a cow herder in the mountains.
obviously, even though we were going to the middle of nowhere, where no one lived, we just had to go all dressed up in nice suits and all.

The sister I studied with and took me up to baptism told me this story.
She was doing FS in a rarely worked, remote area with Mega Bucks properties with really long drives. She could'nt go up the drive of this house, she did'nt know why. She just "felt" something. Like an invisible barrier. She said later, she thought Satan and the demons may have used that property for an assembly/gathering and angels were stopping her from calling at this house.
Rather spine tingling, I thought.

Please don't take the mick....but I got disfellowshipped for kneeing an elder in the nads
by outinthemeadows inan elder in my congregation got on my nerves because he kept putting his arm around me and i'd asked him to stop.
a few weeks later he did the same thing again so i used my knee against his micro-penis.
a judicial committee was formed even though i was being sexually harrassed by this octapus of an elder.

there must be a wapping amount.....and i'm wondering how that compares with other "christian" denominations?
i'm in the uk and theres been a load of cases here, more recently in manchester new moston congregation.

by Crazyguy inso last night i had a family meeting and told my kids that i was quitting as a jw and then gave my wife my da letter to give to the one elder i like at the hall tonight.
so this morning i see a text from the co elder the one that met with me and is gunning to get me out and had already tried to get me to a jc meeting this week.
so the text reads "your wife has informed me of your letter and its sad to hear, would like to meet one last time not as a jc, to be sure this is what you want.".

I think my faith might be returning. Feeling very confused.
by jambon1 ini've been out the organisation for around 8 years.
when i first left, im positive that i suffered from some sort of post traumatic stress.
i was very angry at myself for accepting the really bad parts of the religion that i strongly disagreed with.

There is nothing wrong about beleiving in God or a Creator. It's all the other stuff that comes with being a part of organised religion. I feel the same as you.
There has been a huge cock-up with the NWT, bits missing, bits added, language changed. What happened to 1 Tim 3:16 there then??
As zeb said, get a non-JW and have a read. The Living Bible always looks a bit more fun.
