Today's WT study
by piztjw inso as i looked at the material i was struck by a few thoughts about this article.. par.
6 glossed over the idea that we can pray for ourselves, or our needs.
9-11 on one hand they say jesus did not harshly criticize peter or the apostles for falling asleep instead of praying continually, and on the other hand make veiled threats if we should feel tired out by life.

I did get a privilege once ACTUALLY.....I was allowed to clean the bogs (the john in the US, I believe).
If you saw the attendant at my ex-KH, you would run a mile. Think of Lurch in the Addams Family. I kid you not.

Sorry, pressed the wrong button.
Before I DA'd and I was having a study with this "annointed" brother and his wife, I had a weird experience. Considering I am bipolar, it really freaked me out.
We were talking about persecution one time and he said "can you imagine being eaten alive by dogs?", er no, not something that I've ever thought about mate!!!!
Next time, we were talking about Jesus and Lazarus. He said about Lazarus being in his grave 4 days and asked me what state his body may have been in. YEUGH....Imagine Lazarus rotting in his grave, he said.
Another time, we were studying how Mary became pregnant with Jesus and he seemed quite excited about the intercourse bit. OMG.
One of the many reasons "I got the hell out of Dodge."
His words still haunt me, the peverted old w++ker.

2014 DC in DETROIT? anymore info ? scan of the "letter"
by ?me? inso in our area, we have the circuit assemblies going on, so the "letter" about when and where our dc was delayed.
but a local elder let everyone know in their service group, and they let it out of the bag( only to have 30 comments on socal media, and only to be deleted a day later).
not a big deal, right?

Yes, I agree with snare&racket. I always remembered relatives who were good to me. They may have to call on you one day when they need a friend/escape from the Borg. Good one.

Hi honey. I am also in the same boat. 14 years a JW. I'm quite happy with my own company, in the main but I miss girly chats and going out for drinks etc...!!!
This year, I'm going to join an exercise class and do some voluntary work. I don't know where you are but in my area there is a specific website for voluntary work. You're also "giving back" to the community which is far more christian than what the WT do. This will be a start. Small steps.....

So sorry to hear your news. I would agree with the other guys about writing to her and asking why she has come to this decision. Continue to be loving and approachable to bring shame on this destructive religion.
