  i consider myself a christian.

  seriously did not even think that jw was that much different...but now i know better and it has my mind spinning.

  i have stopped answering questions, say my own prayers to god at the meetings, and plastr on a fake smile.

  I went to one of my previous halls remodel today and they did not recognize me...

  i definitely look like a worldly person by jw standards... however i went to my old hall because they are remodelling and they are in the final p[hase.

  it was not on purpose.

  i had bnusiness on the street and happened to drive past.

  JWS CELEBRATE 100 YEARS SINCE 1914: HAPPY BIRTHDAY 1914 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

  the us edition of the june kingdom ministry urges the still-active witnesses to get out and preach in august saying that it is fitting because the anniversary of the start of the time of the end will be in that month.

  what arch hypocrites!.

  they won't allow children to have birthdays but they celebrate a date on a calendar that suits their doctrinal purpose...which is itself virtually the "birthday" of the start of the time of the end - according to their doctrine.. perhaps the "celebrations" will backfire when they try to load 100 candles on the celebratory cake and there will be a huge burnout of faith in this man-made date.. besides, the organization was incorporated in 1876 - decades before 1914.. there may well be moments of unease when the few witnesses with operating brain cells realize the organization has kept them in panic-mode to urgently preach about an end that never comes.

  Went to my church for Good Friday. It was really moving. Some lovely Christian songs. Nice sermon, hymns etc.

  Much nicer than the Memorial. I felt so great after.

  144,000 in Revelation May not be Referring to Individuals at all!

  i'm testing a theory.. so many people discuss whether or not 144,000 is a literal number.. i want to discuss, what if 144,000 is not a number of individuals, rather a number of groups of people.. .

  while there is no unanimous acceptance or truth, some believe that the book if revelation was written in hebrew originally.

  my theory is based in this possibility.

  after knowing ttatt for many years now...i had made up my mind long ago that after 2014, i would no-longer subject myself to the boredom, pain, and frustration of following this cult...the wt...the borg.. so...i made up my mind that since the wtbts/gb makes such a big deal as to the "significance" of the year 1914 and this year 2014, there can be no greater time for me to leave it all behind.

  i daydreamed of how awesome and telling it would be if everyone that could ( because i do know that some have personal circumstances of their own, as i did too) would just .... walkout...never to attend/step foot in a kingdom hall from that moment on.. independence day of sorts?

  there is too much evidence, too many videos, blogs, books, news reports and lawsuits for me to keep lying to myself.

  in my local parish church, we are celebrating passover tonight along with another church.

  should be really nice and very interesting too.. it is nice that different denominations can get on and accept each other's faith.. qcf .

  I loved all the symbols of the food and the 4 cups.

  Gorby's visit to the memorial 2014

  since a week ago, gorby was a little nervous.

  last years memorial was the last meeting he visited at the local hall.

  I think it was good for you to go. Cathartic (I think that's the right spelling)!!

  Sometimes it hard to say "goodbye" to the past because, let's face it, we all had good friends in the truth.

  But as the song says, "We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun but like the wine and the song, the seasons have all gone."

  I hope this is a turning point for you and your family. The only way is up!!
