when i meet up with a jay dubya i've never met before and the conversation inevitably turns to "so where did you learn the truth?

i reply" my parents joined the jehovahs witness religion in 1982".

some of the looks i get are priceless .

There is NOTHING "truth" like about it. So it shouldn't be called as such. I think Trading Standards need to be informed!!

Common feature of religions: explaining life after death

i am certainly no expert when it comes to the various religions that exist, but i notice most of them have a common feature.

they almost all try to in some way 'explain' death or else state that death is not really the end.

the bottom line is that in actuality nobody has any definite factual proof that we can live beyond the moment of our physical death.

Coping whilst stuck in the org.

i recently learned ttatt and it really sickens me when i sit through the meetings.

i am so tired of faking things.

i feel like vomiting when annoying things are said from the platform.

I do feel sorry for you. It must be hard when your'e whole family are in.

I would just pretend that I am on undercover mission, trying to prove if the Borg is God's organisation, finding out all you can to prove it's not. Make notes but be careful. You are a spy in a hostile environment. I did that once when I lived in a really awful place and I pretended I was a reporter, making a story. I know it sounds a bit weird and childish but it got me through a bad 12 months.
