large numbers of jw congregations are going to be trouble long before they lose their last elder to death or resignation.. most congregations i know have at least one - and often several - elders who can barely function at all, due to illness, old age.
or just plain inability to accomplish anything.
the society seems loathe to remove these men, despite their 'elder in name only'.

when i was a witness, i was very arrogant in my life in thinking i was right in all things.
the right religion, the right bible, the right understanding and the right lifestyle.
when i left, it was not hard to shake this arrogance and i found at times i was the same person, only with a different "right" message and i annoyed my witness relatives as much as they annoying me.
I was very arrogant during the Witness days and after. It has taken me many years to appreciate the many "grey levels" not black and white. Being right is not important, but being harmonious and peaceful is important. "I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now."

I differ. All of these Bibles have TOO MANY verses! John 8 and Mark 16 are not the issues. The issue is if a person doesn't follow the 2 laws - 1) Love God 2) Love of neighbor, there's no need for the almost 1200 chapters. Yes, too many words, too many pages, too many trees cut, for what! A religion (Christianity in all flavors) full of hypocrits and bullcrap thumpers. Thoughts...

Every day he had a new revelation - antitypical this and that. I'm writing a play about a day in the life of Fred Franz via interviews conducted over the course of months with a "knowing." It is called - 'Jehovah Genius Prophet.'

My heavily commented black leather with all the Sacred Secrets provided great rolling papers from the back pages that had less ink. Didn't burn too badly if loosely rolled. The Hebrew and Greek commentary notes from Rabbi Rashi and A.T. Robertson burned quickly, quietly, and without much confusion. The Interlinear burned nicely as well, was living in the mountains of New Hampshire after my DA and didn't head to the town's headshop often. All the J translation references of the "Jehovah" usage burned supreme.
is armaggeddon going to last many, many years or is it going to be quick, fast and over with in a matter of months?
i know the bible does not say specifically but if you were to guess what would you guess on the amount of time for armaggeddon to last?

2 days ago i received a phone call from an elder that recently moved to the cong i was in.. this elder is the type that feels that he is a big shot!
he gives parts in dc and ca's.. he asked me if he can come to visit, i told him that my husband had to be present and he had to call in advance to make an appointment.. this elder is so obnoxious and treat women as a 2nd class citizens.
any suggestions?.

okay remember i am non jw so how can i get the wt publications or them on cd or without going to my local kingdom hall?
just want to be able to relate to what is being taught and to do my own analyzisis so that when i am having conversations with the jw guy i have fallen in love with i will have my scriptures to back up the publication researched and any questions i have ready?

My thoughts...who is this JW guy? Why would he be hooking up with you - "of the world" - a worldling. Then again, you can go to Randy's site - but why don't you ask your boyfriend to ditch his books and the two of you go friggin WILD!
just wanted to take a second to vent.... me and best friend got the same royal middle finger up the ass when it came to our marriages.. my friend's marriage was much like mine.
