I too share in the "knowing" - the gift of Divine Knowledge - often know who I'm going to see, what people will say and do. As a child I would "see' exams the day/evening before they were passed out. Jah gives gifts to those asking, as long as they are utilized in good fashion. Let the Spirit flow. Funny thing, the years with the WTS killed the "knowing." Great thread here.

Into the mystic (an experience).
by El blanko inthe following i wrote to a friend this morning and doctored slightly for this forum.
can any of you relate to this kind of mystical experience and if you would be kind enough, would you mind me quoting any experiences listed to my friend?
please be aware that the letter uses language to detach me away from the watchtower (thus church, instead of congregation etc).

has anyone else heard this?.
i assume either his brother who is a dub or his mother have passed this on to him, in order to scare him to come back quick before everyone dies.. .

Make Up A Prophecy or a Statement You'd Like To See In A Watchtower
by minimus insince the watchtower has regularly disseminated "false prophecy" over the years and has given truly silly reasonings for their beliefs, let's give the society some ideas as to what they might put into the next watchtower.....i'll start----"since the elders are representatives of christ jesus himself, we should give them glory too.

That was great! Thanks! Many thoughts of Brother Dan Gjika - Armenian, loud and always off color - would grease his hair back with fry grease and bellow forth jokes he heard at the union hall. What a madman!

The Bible Says You Can Rebel Against The Watchtower!
by metatron incurrently, the watchtower society is emphasizing obedience to its often obtrusive.
authority.
they issue tapes about "korah" and remind their tired adherents to obey.

False prophets should be stoned to death. Maybe many of us should gather in Brooklyn N.Y. with bags of stones and start whipping them at their windows. Bring out the press! The FDS calls down evil on us, maybe we should surround their buildings and call down evil on them. Blockade their mansions and have them call off meetings. The next Tower could have an article about being "encircled in the Holy City." We should take OVER their Kingdom. Danny - who paid for it anyway? Anybody up for a mass protest - yes a million former-publisher march around their palatial existence?

This is my 2nd dalmatian, and both have problems with bones and them splintering. The rope toys are appreciated, and often I take a tennis ball, put it into an old athletic sock, tie it up with a few knots, and the dog chews on it for hours. I let her feast on grass whenever she wants to and she seems to regularly purge her system once a week after chewing grass and weeds. Love them dogs!

What Questions From Readers Doesn't Tell You
by metatron inthe sept. 1 watchtower has a question from readers concerning the 144,000. it asks how we know if the number 144,000. is a literal number.
it then quotes from a scholar, robert thomas, who wrote an exegetical commentary on revelation.. he says that , in revelation 7, the contrast of a definite number ( 144,000) with an indefinite number ( the "great crowd").
proves that the 144,000 is a literal number.. .

Metatron-
That must be the Robert Thomas who has the Dance Centers (Dancenter) in Iowa - emminent Bible scholar, who the hell is he? I once spoke to Bruce Metzger in Princeton (that's a scholar) and he loved the way the WTS would pick and choose who to quote, as well as what they quoted. When Franz was going at Metzger and A.T. Robertson, their names would not appear in a supportive role, whereas the other day I noticed one of their newer publications citing Metzger's "scholarship." I wait for the day they quote Huckleberry Hound in relation to the "abomination of desolation."

Have You Ever Heard of "Withdrawal Letters"?
by minimus ini was doing a little reading in zion's watchtower of feb. 15, 1900 and saw an article called, "withdrawal letters".
this is what it said:"these are not samples to be copied by pen, but regular letter already to date and sign and can be posted unsealed for one cent each.it is a kind but plain statement of our view of the true invisible church and its head christ jesus and its bondage of love as contrasted with human institutions under synods, confrences, and presbyteries and held together with creed-bondage.
all who get free from "babylon" should send one of these letters to each church member with whom he associated in "babylon".

Country Girl-
I noticed that too! The seeds of a formalized methodology, sold and bought. In addition, the Brethren didn't have the capabilities to correctly introduce samples "to be copied by pen." Their way, or the Babylonian Highway.

Passive-aggressive
by onacruse ina sometimes too characteristic aspect of our human behavior.
in some ways, it seems like the db environment fosters (even promotes) such "liberty.
why do we (and i include myself) let ourselves devolve to what is imho the lowest common denominator?

Sounds like you have been through hell and back a few times. Sounds like you might want to take a long hike in nature and dig creation. I went hiking and camping last weekend and it was so cool to hear nothing and get a better perspective.
little witch-
Point well taken. I agree.
