Was heading back from walking my Dalmatian on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon north of Toronto when I encountered 6 Witnesses in front of my neighbor's house (Korean people who speak a little English). I encountered the group and had to ASK for the latest WT. I was given a copy and mentioned I heard that the Awake was being reduced to once a month. They asked if I wanted an Awake and I said no. I then went next door after perusing on the street the 4/1 articles. They walked away and headed to their car, which was down the block. No mention of a possible R.V., no mention of a Bible study, no mention of what/how I knew about the JWs, nothing, just a magazine recorded as placed. Damn, when I was a pioneer I would have been in the house and already studying with the long hair who asked for a magazine. How does one spell Apathy? I just did!

Lawyers, guns, and money! I'm sure the GB has been using the Cayman Islands and other offshores. In Rutherford's days they used canes at assmeblies, I wonder what kind of arsenal they are building now - hell Joshua and David were warriors...maybe this will be the New Light - "brothers and sisters, we must defend the Theocracy (money supply)."

While pioneering in Everett Mass. with my pioneer partner we were invited into a house where 3 teenage girls were having their morning hangover remedies - beers and whiskey shots. We were offering them a Truth Book bible studty as they discussed which one of us they would jump and how they wanted to be 'serviced.' Yes, they would take the Bible Study - last thing was said as one began to lap dance my partner. He booked and left me with the three, who I had to convince that I was a faithfully married Christian ... the angels must have opened the door. My partner was at the corner sweating and shaking. I had dreams of those girls for years after DAing.

I well remember the travesty, what a charade of total hysteria, incompetence, and the depravity of a common mob of thugs. Justice system, my ass. A person today must stay clear of anything and everything otherwise the judges are ready in robes, ready to dispatch the legal system, the prison system, the vicarious witnesses and jury folk. Under the radar is the mantra.

A 1914 generation question
by Pwned ini was around in 1995, barely, but i dont remember any talks or articles where the new light about the generation of 1914. did they change w/o coming right out and saying so,or was there a talk.
especially in regards to the mission statement or whatever in the awake, did they make an announcement or did they just hope no one would notice?
i just cant believe that there wasnt a mass exodus after that, my family never mentioned the change to me, i didnt even know til years later on this site.

Good points. I try to visit an assembly every couple of years wherever I'm traveling and to be quite frank (I've been to assemblies for 35 years (more off then on) and they degrade each year to a point where people are dragging in on tranqs and hoping to not get caught snoring or falling down arena stairs. I have long hair and they don't even attempt to witness to me after a talk on Witnessing. I'll go have a puff and a few drinks after a session at a local pub nearby and wonder where the hell I was. They have gone from surreal to unreal.Gary-
