Critique of Mar 2014 Awake on Creation by Alan Feuerbacher
by jwfacts inalan feuerbacher has written a tremendous critique of the march 2014 awake!, which contains a grossly dishonest discussion on creation.
the pdf file can be downloaded from awake_march_2014_creation_critique.pdf.
it highlights watchtower use of poor and contradictory reasoning..

This new GB 2.0 (F&DS only) better get a grip on themselves and bring it down a few notches. If they are going to start producing warning videos when the rank and file has a different opinion such as which assembly they will attend, they may be in for a surprise.
JW’s & non-JW’s all across the US are still struggling from the economic meltdown from 2008. JW's have lost their jobs and had to relocate hours away just to find some employment to support their family. These 7 guys in Brooklyn were not even remotely affected by any downturn in the economy as they continue to build their exclusive Warwick headquarters.
There’s an old saying that one should, “ know which side one's bread is buttered on.” Meaning to be aware of where your money comes from and who supports you. If these men are going to start coming on strong when they feel some resistance, they may be asking for it!!

Last year in a letter dated November 6, 2013, it was announced that a new school will replace the Bible School for Single Brothers (formerly known as the Ministerial Training School) as well as the recently formed Bible School for Christian Couples.
The new school will be called the “School for Kingdom Evangelizers.”
This new school will include married couples, single brothers and single sisters.

WT January 15, 2014 Pg. 24
10 Today, many Christians in their 50’s and older find that their circumstances have changed and that they are able to serve Jehovah in new ways. Some have moved to where the need is greater. For example, Robert writes: “My wife and I were in our mid-50’s when we realized what opportunities lay before us. Our only son had left home, we no longer had aging parents needing care, and we had received a small inheritance. I calculated that the sale of our house would suffice to pay off the mortgage and provide for us until I received income from my retirement pension. We heard that in Bolivia the number of people accepting Bible studies is high but the cost of living is low. So we decided to move.”
Sounds eerily similar to what brothers were commended for doing 40 years earlier.
KM May 1974 p. 3 How Are You Using Your Life? - Yes, since the summer of 1973 there have been new peaks in pioneers every month. Now there are 20,394 regular and special pioneers in the United States, an all-time peak. That is 5,190 more than there were in February 1973! A 34-percent increase! Does that not warm our hearts? Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of their days in this old system in the pioneer service. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world’s end. 1 John 2:17.
Many of us here all know the now very infamous line of crap recorded by the WTS leaders below. Those that listen and obeyed this counsel did so to their own personal harm, regret, and many missed opportunities in life.
Awake May 22, 1969 pg.15
If you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things. Why not? Because all the evidence in fulfillment of Bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years. Therefore, as a young person, you will never fulfill any career that this system offers. If you are in high school and thinking about a college education, it means at least four, perhaps even six or eight more years to graduate into a specialized career. But where will this system of things be by that time? It will be well on the way toward its finish, if not actually gone!
Forty-five years later, it is now the year 2014. If you were a young 20 year old in 1969 you have in fact gotten old. Yes you are 65 and in retirement. If you survived all the nonsense from the GB over the last 4-5 decades, good for you. If you managed to buy a house, and raise a healthy family that’s great. But it’s never enough for WT. Through all your hard work and sacrifice and now in your “golden years” the WTS is again suggesting you do more with your time. This experience is an endorsement for JW’s to consider selling the greatest asset most of us will ever have, the “family home.”
These leaders have no scruples or shame in even proposing that elderly JW’s give this idea some consideration like back in the early 1970’s. I personally know of two families that sold their homes in the early 70’s. They were very sincere, and well meaning, both were raising young children. When Armageddon did not occur, years passed as they rented, using up most of their savings. The housing market had changed in the meantime and they weren’t able to ever buy another one. This religion just doesn’t care if they convince people to put their homes and savings in jeopardy. The GB’s mantra will remain as it is, reminding me of the saying, “A leopard cannot change its spots.”

Its Official - DO arrangment has been done away with
by Justnowout inletter to be read at next weeks service meeting.

breakfast of champions said, “Know about the DO thing, but has anything officially been said about the mandatory 70 year old retirement DOs/COs?
Just curious.
I haven’t personally been able to read a letter about COs & DOs being forced out at the age of 70. My wife was complimenting a visiting speaker about his talk recently. In that conversation he made reference to a family member of his who was a CO for many years. He then added but as you know, “CO’s are coming off the road this year if they are over 70.”
I asked a COBE friend of mine who still communicates with me. He confirmed that the 70 and out is not a rumor but rather it is a fact. I guess eventually the official letter will make its way here.

2014: do you see Witnesses ramping up activity? What will the aftermath be in 2015?
by JimmyPage injw's often say they don't serve with any dates in mind.
but the fact is many of them can't fathom why the end just hasn't come yet.
since 2014 marks 100 years of invisible rule many witnesses can't help but think this has some special meaning.

NotBlind that was an excellent summary.
EmptyInside said, “I think a lot of Witnesses are on auto-pilot, just going through the motions.”
I have faded completely for five years. My wife is still “all in.” But she has noticed a lot of sisters are starting to show extreme signs of wear and tear. Many appear to have a marginal interest in so-called theocratic activities. She’s noticed a few of these women are the wives of elders. I myself will listen to the meeting on the phone hook-up several times a year. I do this out of curiosity and to gauge the congregation spirit, since I had served there for many years and still remember everyone. A lot of sincere, caring families that I still miss.
Five years ago when I faded, the enthusiasm level of this congregation was pathetic. By listening over the phone I’ve discovered that the comments have become more lifeless and robotic than I ever remember. The elder’s talks are even more monotonous and uninspiring.
We live in what is considered an affluent community. Many of your “worldly ones” are business men, the men & women are well educated living in 3000 to 4000 sq. ft. homes. The congregation too has some brothers like this. Since I’ve been living here for almost two decades, I was always amazed at the shortage in monthly contributions when the accounts report was read out. This happened for years until I finally left. We were always short, but the brothers had no shortage of funds landscaping and fertilizing their large properties, vacations overseas, & a new leased SUV every 2-3 years etc. Just recently the report was read and again there was almost a $1000 shortfall between contributions and monthly expenses.
So I thought nothing has really changed since I left other than the JW’s have become even more wearisome, and stressed out. In five years away I have worn a suit and tie only once, to attend a funeral. When you’re not on the WTS treadmill of meetings, commenting, assemblies, field service, hall cleaning, annual meeting, tract campaigns, and rubbing shoulders with a few backstabbing brothers, life is real good.
I’m convinced that 2015, 2016, 2017……will produce even greater feelings of apathy, fatigue, and a general feeling of being duped. The families that I used to associate with, my generation in the 50-65 demographics, I know, have not prepared themselves financially for getting old. The reality of this whole charade is silently being acknowledged in many JW’s minds. They have responded with their indifference and feelings of malaise. But more so they are responding & will continue to respond in future years with their wallets.

WT January 15, 2014 "Let Your Kingdom Come"—But When? Pg. 30-31
THIS GENERATION WILL NOT PASS AWAY
14-16. What is a third reason for believing that God’s Kingdom will "come" soon?
14 There is yet a third reason for confidence. What has developed among God’s people points to the nearness of the end. For example, prior to the establishment of God’s Kingdom in heaven, a group of faithful anointed ones were actively serving God. When some of their expectations about what would happen in 1914 did not come about, what did they do? Most of them proved their integrity under trials and persecution and kept right on serving Jehovah. Over the years, most—if not all—of those anointed ones have faithfully completed their earthly course.
15 In his detailed prophecy about the conclusion of this system of things, Jesus said: "This generation will by no means pass away until all these things happen." (Read Matthew 24:33-35.) We understand that in mentioning "this generation," Jesus was referring to two groups of anointed Christians. The first group was on hand in 1914, and they readily discerned the sign of Christ’s presence in that year. Those who made up this group were not merely alive in 1914, but they were spirit-anointed as sons of God in or before that year. Rom. 8:14-17.
16 The second group included in "this generation" are anointed contemporaries of the first group. They were not simply alive during the lifetime of those in the first group, but they were anointed with holy spirit during the time that those of the first group were still on earth. Thus, not every anointed person today is included in "this generation" of whom Jesus spoke. Today, those in this second group are themselves advancing in years.
Yet, Jesus’ words at Matthew 24:34 give us confidence that at least some of "this generation will by no means pass away" before seeing the start of the great tribulation. This should add to our conviction that little time remains before the King of God’s Kingdom acts to destroy the wicked and usher in a righteous new world. 2 Pet. 3:13.
Scenario: Fred Franz (1st group) was born in 1893. He was baptized in 1913 and therefore anointed at the age of 20 before 1914. He lived to be 99 and died in 1992. Bro. Barr (2nd group) was born in 1913. At the age of 21 in 1934, he too was baptized and also one of the anointed. Bro. Barr now overlaps with Bro. Franz. Bro. Barr lives to be 97 and he dies in 2010.
This scenario explains how, "the overlapping generation" has to involve "two groups of anointed Christians." These two groups must be "anointed contemporaries" of each other. Also understood is those, "in this second group are themselves advancing in years."
The WTS is trying to emphasize that the second group are quite elderly “advanced in years” in so doing; this should stress the nearness of Armageddon. They have basically gone back to their original idea that these anointed ones are very old, and will not “pass away before seeing the start of the great tribulation.” This should instill a sense of urgency for JW’s that “little time remains.” It’s the same old doctrine just incorporating another generation in order to sell it or make it work. It’s all made-up, designed to keep JW’s on the edge believing that the end is “just around the corner again.”

Lies taught by the GB about ....Life, Worldy people & apostates
by williamhconley inthe governing body not only lies to it's members about their true history but also about life itself, worldly people and former members.. here are some of those lies that come to my mind.. .
"jw's are the happiest people on earth" -.
fact: depression, anxiety, fear of punishment, paranoia, is what jw's live with every day.
