my first post! (long read sorry in advance)

long time lurker, first time poster here finally looking to get some things off my chest.

i've always been a very curious person with tons of questions about everything, and i also care deeply particularly about societal issues like social injustice, racism, and homophobia.

that, coupled with how boneheaded all the elders in my congregation are (except for one), led me to ask even more questions that led me to find ttatt.. .

i am aware this has to be done quite carefully, but how?

while many may complain and see the hypocrisy within the kh's, maybe even with the gb, how does one bring up doctrine issues?

i surely can not tell my husband to "go look what jwfacts.com says".

I say do a google search for the best Sunday brunch in a city near you...not right in your area somewhere a hour or so away. encourage him to miss the meeting to go there. Followed up with some very positive reinforcement from his wife, if you know what I mean, show him the joys of having some real free time with his wife. you know best what the two of you like the brunch is just a suggestion. dont talk about the meeting or doctrine or the ttat at all just be a normal couple spending time together he will want to do it again soon.

Timbuktu try again

this bus load of people crashes off of a cliff it is very late in the day.

st peter is about to call it quits for the day and they don't have very many spaces left that day in heaven.

when he finally gets to the last two on the bus there is only one spot left.. he explains that this has happened before and that what they do is draw a word out of a hat and whoever makes the best poem gets to go to heaven and the other one got to well you know.

i haven't been to a meeting in 2-3 years.

i have seen a lot of ttat tracts available online.
