  Avoid Going back to the JW's - Educate Yourself about Mind Control

  i've talked with some good friends on the board about this before and we seem to be in agreement : one reason ( among many ) that some disfellowshipped jw's go back and return to the wt organization is because they are full of uneeded guilt or uneeded fear because they haven't educated themselves about how the wt society uses mind control tactics to deceive them into thinking they have " nowhere else to go " .

  i understand that some dfed ones may go back to the organization for family and friends- however- it's an exrecise in futility because once you learn the truth about the truth you cannot undo what you heard.

  so some may just go back and live a fake jw life to appease family- but just think of how that can damage a person's emotional and mental health playing the fake jw game the rest of their lives !

  Great post Flipper:

  I remember when I was first awakening...I would say I know they got this wrong and made an adjustment however they the GB-JWs are still Jehovah's chosen religion! It took several months for me to start to realize they may not be... then one day it just hit me and the wall started to crumble.

  One too many wtf moments piled on top of each other.

  It felt good but then I started to realize everything I put my trust, faith and hope in had just vanished.

  I joined this site under the name SaysWho in April of 2010 and along with Jwfacts helped in keeping my sanity.

  I had to re-join under notnew when I forgot my password. I think my one laptop is stilled logded on under SaysWho so sometimes I still comment with that one. ( just to keep things straight, in cases anyone was wondering why I end my post with "SW"

  Is it true that elders lurk the forums?

  but are they doing it for the purpose to try to guess exactly who in the congregation is on ex jw sites?

  • The reason to keep old pubs is to have the actual documentation of Botchtower BS. So when someone fresh in the Borg says "Oh they didn't say that." you can show them otherwise

  Same reason I keep mine!

  galileo is said to have uttered, or probably muttered these words in front of the inquisition after supposedly having reacanted his teaching that the solar system is heliocentric, as his predecessors kepler and copernicus had worked out.

  (and a guy in 3rd century b.c greece !).

  why was galileo unable to go back to his belief held by him in his youth, and nearly all people in christendom, that the earth was at the centre of the solar system and all the planets revolved around it ?.

  Oh my! It seems that the power of mind control is dismissed or forgotten By those who have been freed.

  Anything presented by anyone except the WT approved had to be quickly dismissed as coming from satin.

  My mind would not allow me to consider anything contrary to WT based beliefs!

  But not now! Since I have been freed...why? I do not know however I am so relieved that I am!

  Some have expressed to me how fortunate I am because most who were indroctinated arent so "lucky".

  My 45 Minute Conversation With JWs Today

  as i was saying before the watchtower literature trolley has arrived in my little town.... my wife and i were in town this afternoon and i saw one of my former elder colleagues standing beside the trolley talking to a young man and reading to him from one of their books.

  ray was one my least favourite people - he was everything that is bad about jw elders.

  i went up to them and interrupted and told the man that this is a cult recruitment campaign.

  call me dumb ass...but I said that also. I took what I was told from the GB-WT and never looked as to why this would be a stupid remark.

  Perhaps less ridicule and more education is in order! Ignorance is not stupid...someone just dosent have the facts or knowledge.

  Have You Been Invited To The Memorial?

  one of my best friend's, who is an ex elder had two elders visit him at his home yesterday to invite him to the memorial.

  he was cordial to them because they were'nt over the top.. so far, i have had no invites, thank god..

  We had one stuffed in our door today. My wife said it was fitting since she was sitting on the pot when they came. So she flushed the toilet but the invite was still there!
