i was shocked to find out about the tarnished watchtower past. when i first got out, i didnt even know there'd been a 1975 armageddon prediction. i never knew about any of the back-and-forth shifts in their dogmatic teachings.....it completely disgusted me.

of course, and i hardly think it's uncommon. i tend to believe that people are naturally self-centered...not in a bad way at all, it's simply a mode of survival. i'm absolutely certain that i've done things that cause pain to others in the pursuit of things that i consider important. i'd never intend my actions to cause anyone pain, but i wouldn't change my actions either, so i guess i'm not a terribly noble person.

i didnt read anyone else's responses yet, but this strikes me as an oxymoronic statement. if i were in her shoes, i'd rather experience the break-up, which by itself is going to hurt enough, without the added humiliation of knowing that i'd been cheated on several times. there's nothing she can do about the fact that you cheated at this point....why hurt her more than you have to? the whole thing reminds me of that scene in 'gone with the wind' when melanie is dying and the doctor tells scarlett she'd better let her die in peace, saying that he wouldn't have scarlett cause mellie unnecessary pain to simply ease her own conscience.

Do you have friends in different age groups?
by JH inwhatever your age, do you make friends and hang out only with people your age or will you hang around with people much older or much younger than you?.
mentally i must be quite young, because i love to hang around with people 10 to 15 years younger than me.. .
i never hang around with older than me, and rarely with people my age.
