I suspect there are a few posters being watched, but the average JWD'er doesn't get any notice. I don't think anyone from the local congregations would ever be assigned to watch, that would be too dangerous, but there are almost certainly a few here and there that take it upon themselves to come to places like this, looking for someone to "turn in."
Don't get too worried. Some people have been outed here, but not too many, and usually only the most obvious. I've been posting here for 3 years, am fairly well-known in the area, my family is EXTREMELY well known, both here and in Bethel, lots of identifying information about me, yet I have not been "outed," yet anyways. ;)
There are plenty of others like me who are identifiable, but haven't been identified by WT. I'd say you're more likely to be turned in by someone you slip and say something "apostate" to in real life, then they rat you out.

Placed 6 magazines this morning

The magazines are their primary tools of propaganda. They can have an effect, and they have. There are many stories of people who converted based on the original placement of a Watchtower or Awake and not much else. All it takes it the right kind of vulnerability to that propaganda and one is caught in the net. I wouldn't want to be responsible for another person being enslaved to the Watchtower, simply because I had to keep up appearances. I can understand you not wanting to tear apart your family, but have you considered that your continued propagandizing has the potential to tear apart someone else's family?

Why are Witnesses better at being "Mean" than being "Nice"?
by JH inif the elders tell the congregation to shun someone, they will do a good job at it.. if the elders tell the congregation to be good to one another and forgive one another, it doesn't always happen.. if someone is in need in the congregation, it doesn't mean that they will be helped.. so, why are the witnesses better at being mean or insensitive, rather than nice and caring and generous?.
my sister is not a witness.
she is of another religion, and when someone in the congregation needs help, they go full speed ahead to help.

Groups like JWs reinforce the "us" and "them" mentality. We all have it to a certain degree, but exclusive groups develop it into an art-form. It gives the mind permission to view "others" as non-humans. It's the type of psychological programming a soldier receives so the soldier can do his job... which may include killing another human. JWs are also "soldiers," involved in "God's War" or "Theocratic Warfare," so in some ways the JW has to dehumanize "others" so he can do his job... stay faithful and watch the "others" be destroyed at Armageddon. It's a very small and easy step to go from there to being "mean" to "others."
