We are on the same page. Everyday, I can't get it out of my mind that I won't be around much longer. I will miss family and friends. I will be either nothing or have an awakening of some kind.

Car accident
by is there help out there inhas any one while out on field service been involed in a car accident.
say you killed someone and it was your falt and you had no insurance.
could the dead party famuly sue the wt.

Nate, isn't there a card made that says the one preaching is preaching in association of the congregation that they are assigned to. So, its the local congregation and not the society that is on the hook so to speak.
I remember that we had to carry those cards out in service and if ask to show it to the one we call on, we can tell them we are doing this work and inviting them to our local congregation.

How Long Were You Mentally Out Of The "Truth" Before You Left?
by minimus ini was totally spiritually and mentally out of it at least 2 years before i resigned as an elder.
it was actually a long process but i can say it is a complete one.

For me it was four quick months, then the fade started, then I soon stopped altogether, my wife a short time later. A year and a half later, we moved away from the world headquarters out of state.

First "Big Meeting" for our hall was tonight
by Iwonder17 inso we hadour first big meeting tonigh ( bookstudy, ministry school and service meeting ) here are my observations:.
1) even though it is the same amount of time, it seemed verrrrry long.
2) it seemed like a circus.....too many parts that did not relate to the others....seemed like a crossword puzzel with 6 different languages.

Elder sometimes would not call on me because I would give answers that they missed. So, they would call on weaker ones and ignore us smarties. They did not want to be outshined by us rank and file members who knew better than them.
Now, they most certainly will allow only one or two quick answers that are planted before the meeting.

The review of all the book studies with the songs in the background reminded me of how gullible I once was. It plays on your emotions!
Music has a very powerful affect on the emotions and playing Kingdom Songs along with the review can pull some right back in.
Those were the days when hope upon hope that, yes, this world would be a paradise and you could live forever upon it.
However "THE CARROT" has been broken, "THE STRAW" THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK " has fallen squarely upon The Watchtower, for it is no more in my life.

Farkel, when I first came here six years ago, you were one of the ones I use to read all the time. Your site and "The Best Of " by Lady Lee, I keep going back to. Those "MEATY" post and topics were and still are "THE JEWELS OF JWD."
You have posted some serious topics and some very funny ones and through it all we were able to see behind the curtain.
