  thanks to little toe's piquing my interest on this subject, i hafta ask it...... .

  has anyone here had any personal spiritual experiences and is anyone here brave enough to describe/relate any personal spiritual experiences they've had, whether pre-borg, during being borganized or post-borg?

  to be more specific, have you ever seen any angels or spirit creatures, been made aware of their presence in any way, interacted with or communicated with them, or had dream/visions...etc?

  OK! Guess where this came from?

  During the thousands of years of mankinds history,man's search for God has led down many pathways.The result has been the enormous diversity of religious expression found worldwide----from the endless variety of Hinduism to the monotheism of Judaism,Islam,and Christendom and to the Oriental philosophies of Shinto,Taoism,Buddhism,and Confucianism.

  In other vast regions,mankind has turned to animism,magic,spiritism,and shamanism.

  Has this search for God been successful?

  If you are searching for the true God,feel free to contact Jehovah's witnesses.Without cost they will be happy to help you to know intimately the Father and his will while there is yet time.

  From all of this there should be Billions of people having experiences from God,Jesus,Allah,Yahweh,or,any other spirit that wants to contact earthlings.

  Why is it always mystery?Maybe it was maybe it wasn't! Why some sign or signal that you have to figure out ?Why some connection to death or something bad happening?Why some stranger i.e.Johnathan Ewards,Gypsy,etc.

  Why not as the BIBLE tells it "Fear not it is I" the words of Jesus,simple, nothing to guess at."Fear not,I'm from God"the words of his messengers,simple nothing to guess at.Why not a visit from your own recognizable loved one?And so it goes,on and on and on!?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

  I Don't Hate JW's. I Just Think They're Wrong

  every so often, i'll read on the board how some just hate jw's.

  whether it's the individuals or the organization, some vehemently abhor everything connected to jehovah's witnesses.

  i do not personally hate anyone.

  In his book "The True Believer" Eric Hoffer states in chapter 14 page 91.that Hatred is one of seven "UNIFYING AGENTS".

  "Hatred is the most accessible and comprehensive of all unifying agents.It pulls and swirls the individual away from his own self,makes him oblivious of hiis weal and future,frees him of jealousies and self-seeking.He becomes an anonymous particle quivering with a craving to fuse and coalesce with his like into one flaming mass."

  He mentions people like Hitler,Chiang Kai-shek and Stalin whose Hatred of persons,caused the concentrating of all hatred on a single foe,a single category.

  I don't hate the Society or individual JW.'s only the wrongs that have been done by them to others.And exposing those wrongs is not done out of hatred.

  When the Bethel Elders are no longer running the local cong.in N.Y.as in other states.Who locally is up to taking the load.Not many.

  If and When Bethel is relocated to Patterson,NY.Brooklyn,Queens,the Bronx,Staten Island and some parts of New Jersey and Long Island will no longer have Bethel Elders to run the Cong.

  While other states are use to the local brothers handing things ,not so in the tri-state areas.With Bethel Elders gone and not many local brothers reaching out it looks like a closing and selling some Kingdom Halls and a merging of others.

  Keeping Up With The FACADE,How Long?

  how many of you have had to keep up the facade on the outside,while on the inside you were dying?.

  the facade being putting on a happy face in front of the elders and others while knowing what you know about the society and all the harm it has done.. how long did you keep up this facade before it began to affect your well-being?.

  for me it lasted about a couple of years before i started to do the fade and have started to feel better.. blueblades

  First things first.Have my family get a complete medical check up with second opinions.

  Clear up all debts.Buy homes.Better health insurance,Doctors etc.

  Because I love to read,buy my own Barnes and Noble store.Buy my own Country Western Bar and Restaurant.

  Make the movies my son has screen written.

  Master the Computer.Donate to Simon for the continuing of this forum.

  Help those I can from this forum.

  That's easy to say.I hope I can stay focused if I do win.

  Christianity promotes a helpless victim mentality...

  christianity, in it's truest, fundamentalist form, promotes an unhealthy and non-productive victim mentality.

  the christian feels helpless on his own -- condemned by sin and absolutely unworthy.

  I have repeated this many times and no one has answered it yet .So, UN.maybe you have an answer for me.

  When adam and eve did what they did,mankind paid the price,death. no matter if you believed in it or not. ( so belief had nothing to do with it )

  When Jesus did what he did,mankind will be restored to life,no matter if you believe it or not. ( eye for eye etc.belief has nothing to do with it)

  Saying I don't believe,or, I do believe,in adam and eve,has no effect on the outcome ,death.

  Saying I don't believe,or,I do believe,in Jesus,has no effect on the outcome,life.

  Also,when adam and eve did what they did,sickness,growing old,and dying followed.

  When Jesus did what he did,healing,getting younger and life did not follow.

  When a ranson is paid the exchange is giving now not thousands of years later.

  Perfect life in the flesh has not happened because of what Jesus did.

  Imperpect life in the flesh has happened because of what adam and eve did.

  Again this is for those who believe all this from the ink on paper that has been changed and interpreted by many who say they understand all of this because the Lord or,Holy Spirit told them so,even with all of the conflicting interpretations across the whole spectrum of so-called Christianity.

  I mean no disrespect to those who do believe,or,claim a personal experience.

  Blueblades,who has no belief system,it is what it is.What is it?I don't know.

  Experience of new elders meeting format.....

  just to let you know that the s2 has come back from london with my deletion on it, so i expect it to be announced on thursday, it will be interesting to see how "my brothers and sisters" treat me.

  anyway with regards to my experience to the new format of elders meetings.... some of you may be aware of the change to the format announced at the the elders seminar 2002 and in the subsequent letter, regarding the handling of an elder whose child has been involved in serious conduct.. basically the change is that a special elders meeting is held, where the elder is questioned by the body on why he thinks his child got into trouble?

  was it his fault?

  That's right Cap,I was present when they made the deletion announcement.

  However,I closed the meeting with prayer?

  I'll tell you why .I am and was well liked and loved by the brothers and sisters.The circuit overseer told the elders to have me close with prayer the night of my deletion so as to forestall any gossip as to any wrongdoing on my part.

  Later,when my son was disfellowedshipped,then the friends put two and two together,That is except the wives of the elders who already knew why in advance ( you know confidentiality does not apply to them ).

  Saying the closing prayer was the most anxiety ridden time for me at that time .I just focused on God and Jesus and prayed about positive things with thanks.

  just got a call from lisa,

  lisa suggested that if anyone would like to express love to atty it would be appreciated to send a contribution toward atty's last expenses.

  lisa will be at atty's apartment for another 3 weeks, more or less, to clean things up.
