I met a Russian man when I live in LA back in 99. He was telling me about his job, in a factory that built motors for car's. He said that they might put out any where from 10 to 200, motors a week, but they were supposed to be building 1,000 a week. He said it just didn't really matter, how much or little they worked, the pay was the same. The was nothing in it for having done even a good job, much less doing a Really Great job!!!!! The pay was always the same, the food was always in short supply, and not very good! He said housing was a joke, and getting some thing like a TV could take month's or even years, and that they were just crap!

We talked a number of time, and I wish I had written down what all he said!!

On the former jw recovery site, an ex young jw sister that I had met a time or two, was on it for a short time. She postewd a story about a place her and her mom had lived for sometime. Well I knew the story right off the bat, for I had heard it from her eldub uncle, and there's just no way, it's not the same story!!!

FFA - 4H - Conscious matter or not allowed?

i was baptized 4 years ago, i have 2 little girls who love their bunnies, so this year we reached out to 4h and started our own 4h group - this was after asking the elders for counsel.

none provided.

now after doing this for 3 months i am being brought before a judicial committee for neutrality.

I did 4-H stuff in school, but could not join : ( . Back in my day it was looked at just like the Boy or Girl scout's. And I don't think that has ever changed.

I have had so many, having been in so many cong's, in so many states!!

The one that stands out for me was Bill Baxter, in the Atlanta area back in 84. He was so kind and caring. My dear sweet grandma, died, and I missed his visit. Two week's later on a Monday evening, he and his wife showed up at my door, just to visit!!!!

why do they never make such detailed descriptions when muslims do the same?.

Marking Talks are back!?!?! - New Name!

when i was younger i used to hear about "marking talks" given in the past.

i believe they stopped in the 80's or 90's.

basically, if someone wasn't baptized or doing something unrepentant, they would get a "marking talk" and be treated the same as a df person.

The congregation I was in until about two years ago, used marking talks pretty often!

My first wife had been studying for two years before we got married, and got baptised two weeks before we got married. I never told her, that I was going to be marked, and have a special talk marking me, if she wasn't baptised! I had not understood that I would be marked, because she had made it plain she was going to get baptised in the spring, but changed and did it at the end of summer!
