  The Atheist "Good News " !

  Hi able....,We all agree that we exist. We all know there had to be a causal process.

  Was it supernaturally intended ?.For what reason, who do you rely on for that answer, can you trust those who proffer that answer

  By what reasoning do you accept/agree with their explanation?

  Was it not supernaturally intended? Ditto the same questions.

  Which of these two scenarios is more serious about the answers?

  You seem to deride scientific investigation be it theoretical or conclusive, why?

  The scientists do not wish you harm they are seeking evidential explanations to

  very profound questions.

  The examples you mention of monkeys, primordial soup are very vague. Do you mean

  The agreed facts of evolution from very primative conditions of biological reaction to life in the present?

  The one certainty is life in all its forms exists, if you conclude it came about by the hand of a supernatural force

  You only have faith at your disposal. Faith:..strong belief WITHOUT PROOF!!

  Best let science have a shot at it their doing an exemplary job and discovering new things all the time if you'd take the time to look.

  Can god see into the future?

  this is something that's been bothering me for a while.. if god could see into the future, why has he allowed so many bad things to happen?

  for example in the garden of eden.

  he should have known from the beginning what would happen.if there was even the tiniest chance that they'd eat the fruit then god obviously didn't think it would be benefical to, idk, prevent it from happening?

  Hi kate, I was wondering as you believe there is a creator, do you see it as one entity, or multiple causes for our existence?

  What form would it take to have such immense power?

  Is it an energy which would require replenishment , or can it produce its own?

  Do you believe it still exists?

  Perhaps it has exhausted itself as we haven't had much evidence of it lately.

  Do you think it might be busy in another part of the cosmos?

  I think belief in such a force requires these considerations.

  Then perhaps I'm presuming you have not considered this already.

  Prologos, Sacre bleu ! My assumptions of primitive mans thinking is of course based on the fact that today we have millions of people believing in this supernatural powerhouse known as god.

  This idea obviously had to have germinated by thought process. It is my and many others belief that the concept came about because of primitive mans ignorance re situations which they had no control over but had positive/negative influence on their lives.

  Making tools and progression has nothing to do with the conjuring up of a notion of a god/gods.

  Or do you think it all started with the author of genesis?

  if he/ she is capable of altruism/ showing unselfish love?

  What is he/she therefore worshipping?

  If you say it's god, you must be concluding that because the athiest has

  these qualities there must be a god.?... how bizarre!!

  Please do not presume for me. My love/emotions are given freely from

  my own reasoning... NO GOD REQUIRED !!!

  as of yet, no member of the jehovah's witness faith can defend their unique beliefs.

  when the dust settles, it all comes down to blind faith in men's ever-changing ideas.

  this "unique belief" was not a "true teaching of the bible.

  anyway, he applied for a lecturer's job at a college last week.

  he had a phone call today inviting him for an interview.. i'm kind of in shock.

  when we left 10 years ago, i was so upset after.

  Phizzy, you are not far off the mark it was energy ( intense activity ) in primitive mans brains that first spawned the concept of god or some supernatural force

  which brought about the good or bad things they had no understanding or control over.

  Thank god for science( OOPS ) LOL!!

  Starting from a false Premise.

  we often see "starting from a false premise" enacted on here.

  believers will start from the basis that there is a god.. bible believers will start from the basis that it is the word of god in some measure, and worse are jw apologists, they pre-suppose that the first two are a given, and that their beloved property company posing as a religion is god's organization.. none of those premises have been proven, some have been disproven, but we are supposed to go along with them.. now, you may be happy to debate on that basis, in fact it is probably good "exercise", but in the end i find their arrogant, unproven assertions begin to really annoy me, and then i stick in what is known on here as a "cofty", which is a short, succinct comment that points out the big hole in their presentation.. the only thing you find then is, either the apologist cuts and runs, or totally ignores your "cofty".. i think, even if we enjoy debating for a while with such people, at a certain point we need to call them out on their false premise, or premises, otherwise a j.w lurking here may simply accept the words of the apologist and gain nothing in the way of truth..

  Thanks Kate, yes I do believe you have god the creator, but I think he/ she / it? Is deeply rooted in your phsych.

  Transporting that to an actual entity (whatever that may be)is another matter.

  The things we see in the universe are objects of whatever, they are only evidence of the fact they exist.

  Not evidence of a creator unless we have a reason to see them that way.

  What is the reason you must see them as created ie purposely existing?

  They really have no significant bearing on your life apart from wonderment.

  Excluding warmth of the sun and tidal moon of course.

  Hey wait a minute that could be a reason for god to exist MMmmmmm

  No why would he need the bible if that's all it took LOL!
