Prayer Question I Had After Sundays Watchtower...
by freemindfade inwhile i was sitting through another grueling watchtower, dying from my brain being turned into cult pudding, i had this thought after i heard this read: .
when we express our most intimate thoughts to god in prayer, he may answer us through a bible passage, an article in a magazine, or an encouraging word from a fellow believer.

No, what did not understand is that if you pray to the wrong God, Jehovah would not compel your heart to read the right magazine or talk to the right brother who could have provided the answer...
oh no.. wait, that would be a form of bibliomancy, which is forbidden. Let me research the topic and get back to you in a future visit.

On a need to know basis - The Letter
by no-zombie inwe've just had our sunday meeting and the letter was read out to the congregation.. however, there was no mention of the bethel lay-offs or the building program shut-downs.. looks like we are on a need to know basis, here in australia..

Yes. I do believe the layoffs and the construction halting is true, is just that I noticed how everyone spoke as if such information was part of the letter when it wasn't. I believe we had several venues to confirm the rumors but the letter itself wasn't one of them. -

Not sure why people kept thinking this was going to be announced. The letter was leaked and we knew it said nothing about layoff. -

I hope the letter about deleting the Theocratic school is true.
by John Aquila inyesterday i was with a group of brothers that wanted my advice on re-roofing a home.
three of them were ministerial servants.
all of them are from the spanish congregation.

By the way, if you like the tango from "take the lead" check out the music from "Gotan Project". You'll probably like it. -

A site like JWFacts/JW Survey in Spanish
by StarTrekAngel ini have been pondering about this for a while.
i wrote to cedars at some point an offered to help translate his articles into spanish but the answer was that they had all of their efforts committed.
i wrote to paul grundy and never got an answer.

Hey El Kato,
That is pretty much what we need. I would, however, think that a better format would make it more attractive.

I would be willing to moderate. I seat on a computer 5 days a weeks and I am one of the bosses here so I get some more leeway to spend time away from work. Weekends are a problem. I have more demanding bosses at home LOL. Besides, I can get ratted out if I get caught here at home. Walls have eyes. -

Yes. There are a good share of spanish forums but there aren't that many blogs of the fashion of JWfacts with sections regarding each doctrine. Graphs, magazine references, etc. Having a language option would be good. I think the google translate API would be a good option for those who are somewhat fluent in English and want to translate something to read it better.
