So the Watchtower did not really move to Warwick because Jehovah told them to... It was more like everyone else is doing it so there might be a good reason.

Imperfect Spiritual Food
by berrygerry inthe feb 2017 wt is being reviewed here because of the "neither inspired nor infallible" potential of the gb.. https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/6237447308443648/major-doctrinal-changes-must-on-way.
this indeed has been stated in the past.. an equally interesting phrase in that paragraph is: "of course, jesus did not tell us that his faithful slave would produce perfect spiritual food.".
again, wt is using the "jesus never said" line.. what would make more sense is: "jesus never said that the food would be imperfect or harmless.".

I think I figured it out... do not read that article. It is designed to eliminate apostasy by means of causing strokes due to the irony of the whole f.... thing.

If no one is going to say it... I will.
CRIMINAL!
Love the quotes by the way

Again, WT is using the "Jesus never said" line.
What would make more sense is: "Jesus never said that the food would be imperfect or harmless."
And, Feb 15, 1981 WT states: "Jehovah is not pleased if we receive that food as though it might contain something harmful."Wasn't there another magazine where they basically stated that it would not be wise to drink a glass of water if we knew it was just "a little" poisoned?

Why take it personally?
by stuckinarut2 ina random thought occurred to me today.. i actually feel genuinely sorry for witnesses who cut contact with ones they feel are no longer "spiritual" .. they do this based not on anything that the person has actually done to them personally, but due to an imposed view from the society.. it must play havoc with their inner conscience as they try and reconcile that the person they cut off has not actually done anything to harm them, but they have to view them as evil.. it reminded me of this thread i started some time back.

I believe it is ok to not take personally as if the person is doing this to you in full knowledge of what is involved. However, it is unacceptable in my view, and in the whole sense of the word, to allow this mofos to put a weight in your and/or their lives for the sole purpose of their own benefit. It is wrong for them to shun you just as much as, if not more, than for you to shun them. Besides, if you make it clear that you are shunning them as well, it does nothing but to reinforce the teaching that you are a bad person.

Columbia's Wiwa tribe fight back against J.W.s
by BluesBrother ina story i found on google news .
i cannot vouch for it's journalistic accuracy , but it is still interesting.. in an act of self-determination, the wiwa tribe expelled the religious organization for contributing to their “cultural and spiritual extermination.
"the wiwa indigenous community in colombia has expelled a group of missionaries from a church built by jehovah's witnesses inside their territory, which had been perceived as a threat to the culture, traditions and beliefs of the group.. .

The news is echoing across several other spanish newspapers in South America. Apparently JWs were not the only ones getting DFd and shunned by this tribe. I've always wondered how this type of missionary work actually ended since ever reading experiences in the yearbooks.

Fox News article - Eloise Dupuis
by OrphanCrow inhttp://www.foxnews.com/health/2016/10/24/after-new-moms-death-jehovahs-witnesses-take-heat.html.
after new mom's death, jehovah's witnesses take heat.
a quebec coroner opened an inquest, but health minister gaetan barrette said dupuis made the choice on her own.

They should have been in our last assembly where a drama representing a brother consulting elders on this very topic was shown. The elder said "Before I can say yes (to the medical treatment in question), I need to know the details..." (perfect example of elders making medical decisions for a third person)

My Ex Wife Admitted She Doesnt Believe It's The Truth
by pale.emperor inmy ex-wife actually opened up to me today over the phone.
she was quite anxious and, i could sense, i little upset.
for those that dont know my situation im separated from my wife.

Wow... I am at a loss of words. A couple of months ago a presented my wife with the same potential scenario if we were to ever split on a religious disagreement. I asked her what she would think if she came to find out I was right and a marriage was destroyed because of it. At the time she either did not understand this fully or she was just being stubborn but apparently it would be ok to make such mistake. I am glad she she has changed.
As far as your situation, it is sad to imagine the what ifs if she would have stuck by you instead. She probably needs a lot of support at the moment. I guess it would come down to whether your new GF is cool with you being part of it or not.

Someone Turned Off the InterTubes
by Simon injust a heads-up in case we disappear too, there's a massive ddos attack happening that has knocked a lot of major sites offline:.
http://gizmodo.com/this-is-probably-why-half-the-internet-shut-down-today-1788062835.
things like this can have knock-on effects as other systems become overloaded, so far we seem ok so fingers crossed we stay that way..
-
StarTrekAngel
The attack is also affecting the voting system for ARIN. Elections for the ARIN Board of Trustees opened yesterday. We got word today that the voting system is down due to a DDoS attack. Makes me wonder if they were the primary targets. ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers) is the institution that manages many aspects of the world wide internet network, including the allocation of the IP address space, which is pretty much depleted. Someone must have their IP assingment reclaimed. LOL

This is a younger guy. Late 30, may be early 40s. He has taken the change on every visit so far to remind us all that we do not go to college. He even layed out the map. High school and after that is either a 1 or 2 year vocational school or go directly to full time service. That is the life of a true god servant. Said it in his last two visits as well as in the last assembly.

Letter about changes in book 100 year kingdom
by Rather Be the Hammer inyesterday a letter was read in our congregation.
it said that there have been doctrinal changes in many chapters of the book 'god's kingdom rules' so everyone but especially the conductor must be sure to use the latest update of the book.. this book is only ...how old?
two years?

I was somehow sure this book sported the same corporate chart found in some older WT where it shows Jehovah on top of Jesus on top of the F%DS (read GB) and then everyone else bellow them. The electronic version does not have that. Need to go back and check the book they gave us at the assembly.
