A Jdub just left this magazine in my door. I skipped to the last pharagraphs of the article to see how they spun the conclusion. Here is what it said "Is there a reliable forecast involving your future and that of your loved ones?....The Witnesses are not psychics nor do they claim to hear spirit voices or to have any special powers of prediction. They are students of the Bible who can show you the good things that God is actively arranging for your future."

Hey Ray & Joel, Thank you for posting this. You are onto something with this tactic. We don't hate them! We hate the lies! It really throws them of guard when you mention 'love', because they think all apostates are angry and bitter. (Sure some are and some of us WERE when we realized the falsehoods and manipulation, it's only natural at first.) They are not used to talking about love between themselves individually. And how can they argue LOVE, since that is what Jesus preached???? We can make more headway by being loving and kind. For those of us that have had years of ministry school training, let's turn it around and use it to teach TTATT. Thanks again for the post. It was inspiring! God Bless!

QFR August 15, 2014 - Resurrection and Marriage
by wisdomfrombelow inthe article addressed luke 20:34-36 and now they finally admit jesus could have been referring to the heavenly resurrection.
they said "put simply, the answer is that we cannot say" which is surprising because they have something to say about everything.
perhaps all the old people who are waiting the new world as widow and widowers want to know if they have a chance to be reunited with their dead loved one.

Years ago, I attended a daytime book study where this was discussed. There were many widows who caused a scene when this was discussed. There was crying and general mayhem. The Brother ended the book study early, because of the disruption and argumentativeness of the unhappy old sisters. Just further proof the WT don't know nothing ! They make a firm stand made on an issue and then years later a total reversal. Meanwhile, old ladies are traumatized, lives are ripped apart and hearts broken. Bastards.

Thanks for the comments. We will move ahead with the pool idea and limit it to one or two friends at a time. Hopefully the Mom's will come, too so we can continue to rebuild our lives. God, this is so tough when you've been brainwashed to believe everyone but Jw's are evil. We're fighting through the cult conditioning and moving ahead one step at a time. Thanks again!

I'm not sure if you can count your field service time while posting on this site. You may want to check with your COBE on that.
By the way, it's spelled: Armageddon. Secular education is a wonderful thing.

The List, by "Prominent Bethelite"
by morloc ini occasionally pop through here to catch up on the latest, but this time i'm going to pop my own post on here.. some of you internet oldsters may even remember this.
my first experience on the internet regarding discussions about jehovah's witnesses and the watchtower took place on a now-obscure usenet group, before i eventually stumbled across hourglass2.. during those days, there was a poster who went by the name "prominent bethelite," an otherwise anonymous individual whom i remember most for an extensive, exhaustive compilation of date-oriented remarks, predictions, and expectations by the watchtower organization down through the decades of its history.. it became known as "the list" and it's definitely lengthy... but a fascination look at the abundance of errant statements made through the watchtower's history.. if you're curious, it's been available for a long time on hourglass2's site, and can be seen using the link provided below.. the list, compiled by prominent bethelite (1999).
that's about it for this stop through here.

by 4thgen inrecently i have begun selling again on ebay after a 10 year hiatus.
i'm embarrassed to say, but years ago, i was in a bidding war for a original photo drama of creation book of the slides.
i ended up winning the bid for $125.00 plus shipping.

Hello All! Recently I have begun selling again on ebay after a 10 year hiatus. I'm embarrassed to say, but years ago, I was in a bidding war for a original Photo drama of Creation book of the slides. I ended up winning the bid for $125.00 plus shipping. I was ecstatic to get a piece of history!
Now, you can purchase one for about $35.00 with free shipping. It seems that the interest in getting JW collectables has waned as the perception of the organization is changing. What a difference the internet has made! It appears that the 100 year celebration that they are touting is not going over as expected. If the rank and file were actually swallowing the B.S. and happy about the passage of time, the historical collectables would be flying off the shelves. The supply is huge and the demand is not there. TTATT is getting known!

Congregation Pledge Disgusted Elder
by rrb2016 inat the meeting the other night, the elder who had to read the announcements, which included the $$ info for the new donation arrangement seemed downright disgusted as he read the announcements and asked for the vote.
he said, "well, here is another organizational change" as he read the letter about the discontinuation of the 2nd meeting during co visit.
then after they voted, he said if you have any questions ask this other elder as if he wanted nothing to do with it.

Hello All! Being 4th generation, I realize that am socially stunted, in regard to those that are not JW‘s. I am forging ahead and endeavoring to build a life outside of JW's. I am trying as I can to socialize my child to make friends and be a normal kid. I am off work this summer and am thinking about setting up a 12 ft swimming pool in the back yard. I'd invite some of his school friends over and teach my child what it is to be 'normal'. (We are learning this together) He LOVES the water!
Have any of you done this? My house is small, so it cannot be a gathering place. I'm also considering the liability of it all. What if they slip and hurt themselves on my property? I have homeowners insurance. I usually have worked in the summer and had the child go to summer camp. Friendships are made, but not lasting because it is out of our neighborhood. Any/all thoughts would be welcomed. Thanks! 4thgen
