Hello Speed, It's nice to meet you. Its so sad (and typical) for parents to disregard their childs thoughts and action, even though the 'child' is an adult with decades of service to the Watchtower. You are not alone. Hang in. You will meet some wonderful people on this board. Welcome! Hugs, 4thgen

Entertainment for International Delegates
by Listener inbibl3thumper has posted a youtube of the celebrations that took place for german delegates.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvs6_q7rqps&feature=em-subs_digest.
it's hard to believe that they are now using the kingdom hall to sing pop songs and for dancing.

Is new light coming again?
by justme67 ini just turned in my resignation letter to my congregation a few weeks ago.
last week, 2 elders called me to say they received my letter and would like to meet with me to discuss my concerns.
in my letter, i said i had found out about all the child abuse cases that were going on and that i didnt agree with their policy of disfellowshipping.

HELP needed for a friend, please. Anyone?..
by defender of truth ina friend of mine (who has recently started reading jwn) is having trouble eating and sleeping because, even after having recently woken up to ttatt.. they are still concerned about 'demons, everlasting destruction, and jehovahs disapproval'.. i've tried to encourage them.
i'm sure you all understand that these things can take time, the transition period is often painful, to some extent.
i'm still struggling with anger and depression myself.. i'll be away from jwn, off the internet, and thus out of contact with them for a while (don't ask why)... so please don't expect me to reply to or even look at what you post, .

Hello Defender of the Truth, It is very heartwarming for you to be concerned for your friend and make this request. Apparently you said that your friend may read what is written on this board. Do you think that the title of the post: "HELP needed for a friend, please. Anyone?.." would attract them to read it? Maybe so....Or maybe some something along the line of: "Are the Demons, a Reality or Imagined?" would attract their attention more?
If you friend did a searchon this site for "demons' there is TONS of information already commented on.
Just trying to help....Good Luck! Hugs, 4thgen

Would you go to church?
by Coded Logic ini have an unspoken rule that if someone ever invites me to a church - that i haven't been to before - i will go.
even though i'm an atheist i'm still interested in the experiance.
just like i'm not into basketball but i would like to go to a game sometime to feel the energy of the crowd.. growing up as a jw i've never set foot in another church.

I've toured some churches on vacation simply for the history of the buildings, etc. But to attend with the hopes of getting reconnected to a religion? No. You will find that many on this site are jaded from religion after learning TTATT.
With that said, if you want to go....then GO! Enjoy! But don't get caught up in any religious cult again.

Yep, it's all true! You are lucky to find this out now, while you are young. Learning TTATT may be a challange for you to accept at first, but it is better to uncover the lie, than live in ignorance. You've discovered the REAL Truth.
Go easy on your parents, they MAY not know TTATT.
