I don't doubt that the Witnesses suffered in Germany, like many many other groups.
But let's face it, if Hitler had accommodated their demands, they would have been as silent as the Catholic Church as to what was going on.
'the terrible persecution of jehovahs witnesses by hitler, worse than that he inflicted on the jews, took place.

JW.ORG
++ EMBARGOED UNTIL 31st AUGUST 2014++
"Dear Brothers,
Over the years, many faithful brothers and sisters have sacrificed so much to provide spiritual food 'at the proper time'.
These brothers and sisters are old in years now, yet their spiritual sword remains as sharp as ever.
Caring for elderly is a Christian responsibility, as we are reminded in the Bible teachings at http://tinyurl.com/pxtjwmj
With the simplified Bethel arrangement in place, there is the opportunity to become a host congregation for these faithful brothers and sisters.
Some financial support will be provided by JW.borg, and some financial support will be provided by host congregations.
Congregations should consider the financial support they can provide, and include this in the monthly donation.
There is no need to create a separate fund for this work. How fitting! Read: (http://tinyurl.com/pa8dfdu)
What a privilege, in this time of the end, to show our appreciation for these brothers and sisters who dedicated their lives in the service of Jehovah. And what a wealth of spiritual insights they will provide in return.
As this wicked system of things continues its inexorable descent into deeper and deeper filth, let your congregation shine as a beacon by supporting these Bethelites.
Such generosity is bound to be rewarded by Jehovah. (http://tinyurl.com/obmk9df)

i understood that i had neglected my children when they most needed my guidance and affection, admits eduardo.
i had not been there to read them bible stories, to pray with them, to cuddle them, and to play with them.

Oh I love Dvořák but as I say, the KMs get me into a frame of mind to get work done. Not sure why.
Currently listening to John Grant.
luke 21 is a difficult text to interpret.
and jesus' failed prediction that the end would occur in the lifetime of those who heard him speak, makes the whole thing border on farce.. recall what he said:.
30 when they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near.. 31 even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of god is near.. 32 truly i tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.. 33 heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.. .
Uncanny valley! Aaaargh!
it amazes me how the gb and witnesses keep using the ancient isrealites as examples for modern day "servants of god" (read: good witnesses).
how can an ignorant, ancient people who worshipped with animal sacrifices, went to war, killed children, stoned people, treated women as property, called women unclean due to normal body cycles, allowed polygamy, etc......be used as good examples?.
i mean, the gb can't have it both ways!
LOL

I hate the new versions in the Sing to Jehovah. Is that because I am a big "A" now?

Well that's put a downer on my evening!
Where will his words be? I'll head there.
