  what would happen? You would booted out as others have been. I have recently read the book "The Gentile Times revisited" recommended reading for anyone and everyone.

  My Experience and how I finally let myself see the truth

  first off - for those lurkers who feel guilty just for being on this site and reading this (even if you don't read any further, as it is your right to choose that course) i want you to know that you're not alone in what you're going through or in what you are feeling.

  if you read on, i hope my experience may be of some small help to you.. this may be long, but i'll try to organize it in a way that doesn't make it painful to read.

  to start, i feel it is most beneficial if i'm upfront and honest with my goals from posting this, which are (in order of the degree to which they motivated me):.

  OEJ: Please seek counseling..now and as it seems you can converse with your wife include her from day one.

  Bring any non jw friends into your life more. BBQ's, share going to movies then go for coffees etc.

  The need so many women have for the company of other women (read 'approved' ones) is a big thing indeed and many women in TT live in real fear of what others think about them to the extent that this is a binding force on their lives.

  You are a thinker ask people around who are likewise intelligent and funny,so your conversation can be intelligent up lifting witty enjoyable. Conversely get a group of jw together and the convo is so guarded and benign you can spend an evening and come away having not talked about anything. I always found it sad that to mention the politics of the day or some major happening was to invite a torrent of jehovah speak where everyone would square off like boxers and come out with a whole lot of jw speak. Frightened to have an opinion.

  In fact the JW church is the 'Seinfelt' of religions.

  The wt teaching that people only go for education to satisfy ego is deplorable. This is ignorance and the cultish fear that some will come out knowing more than they do it is power seeking.

  Raising kids - JW mother, agnostic father

  my wife and i have two wonderful children aged 1 and 3. i was raised as a lutheran but stopped believing in my late teen years.

  my wife is what i would call a liberal jw (yes, i believe such people exist .

  sooner or later our children will have questions about religion and the differences mom and dad show towards it.

  What do you do when your job makes you wanna puke your face off?

  i'm talking like makes you physically sick and emotionally frazzled just thinking about it.

  i'm talking like you hate it to the point you'd rather go without than work at it just for the money.

  you'd live on cheap korean packet noodles for the next year instead of exchanging your labor for this job's money.. well, this is how i feel about teaching and tutoring.

  I have had work like that. A class room of kids.. I can feel your reason. and you feel the same teaching just one or two in a home. The word burnout comes to mind. Please check your diet and any supplements you take. Please consider giving yourself a treat of a full body massage.

  Dont go to Age-care it is hard in every way and the pay is tragic. apx $18-00 ph.

  I heard an interesting piece of information from a super-elder today

  today i attended the special assembly day (sad lol).

  i overheard a conversation between an elder and another elder.

  we'll call this guy a super elder because he's on all sorts of committees in the area.

  The only thing to be noticed by Washington and London will be traffic snarls, and people collapsing from heat stroke. Do the gb actually think that the White house and Downing street will give a cuss? I am sure both entities have much bigger things to concern themselves with than a sect that has proven itself 100% wrong in predictions (that itself a form of arrogance) and that is known for defending paedophiles in their ranks.

  Letter Read At Special Talk

  the watchtower arranged to have a letter read announcing that elders would now be apponted by circuit overseers.. any elders on this forum know how this will be different from the current arrangement for appointing elders.. it would be nice to see a schematic with boxes showing how it used to be and how it will be in the future..

  Hi Guys, I'm new here...

  been lurking for years, but couldn't log on.

  for some reason, my email spam filter is inaccessable, and ended up having to open another account, simply to become a member... wonder how many others have had a similar problem.. its been an eye opener reading everyones life experiences, often so similar.. i was almost a born in, with a hardcore family.

  abusive stepfather who was one of the original jws in the area, so much so, that it was called the xxxxx family religion.... been out for 25 years, am glad every day for that!!.
