sheboygan, wis. (jan. 5) - a 7-year-old boy had to be rescued with the help of a locksmith saturday after crawling into a supermarket's stuffed animal game machine while his father talked on the telephone.jeffrey roland debbink.
"he was sitting right in there with the stuffed animals," said shift commander mark zittel of the sheboygan fire department.. he said the boy, whose name was not released because he is a minor, crawled through about an 8-inch-by-10-inch opening to get into the glass enclosure via a chute where the toys come out, but when he tried to get back out his way was blocked.. the stuffed animals are prizes that can be hooked by players with a crane-like device.. "his dad was three feet away at a pay phone," zittel said.

Religious e-mail violates town rule
by Smyler injudy strege wrote a "dear mayor" e-mail to dunn from her town office... dunn said strege approached him in a parking lot on new year's day when he was talking to a television crew about the city smoking ordinance... she has been active in jehovah's witnesses for 40 years.. .
what an outstanding citizen, using city computers and while working for the city, trys ministers to the mayor!
maybe its a blessing from jehovah so she will lose her job and be able to pioneer!.

I don't wish that we loses her job either, but a lot of JWs need to learn that there is a time to minister, ie. Saturday mornings off the job, and there is a time not to minister, ie, on the job, getting paid.

North American Cold Snap: How Cold Is It Where You Are?

it's cold in toronto tonight/this a.m. - i believe it went as low as -26c (minus 26 celsius) .
it was pretty freakin' cold.

Its not too bad here today.. about -14 C or 7 F... but on, i think it was, friday, it was -27 C/ -17 and with the windchill it was -35 C/ -31 F! Thats cold!

Iran is having some bad times.. a metor hit Iran today too. I don't think anyone was killed tho.
I also read in another article that Iran wonders why 30,000 people died in their earthquake, and only 2 people died in Cali's. 4 words. No Building Code Enforcement

Publications on the internet
by mann377 inif the watchtower and all the publications are such "life saving" materials from "god's earthly organization" why don't they put them on the web?
any thoughts on this?

I can remember before the WT-CD days, many JWs had scanned the bound volumes and were offering them online to other JWs.
Pre '93? or '95? It must of took ages to send just a few pages with those old modems!

The worse thing I ever saw done on a message board, this is bad!
by spiritwalker inonce, i attended another message board for awhile, a few years ago.
i did not post a lot, as that boards topic did not interest me much and i could just read and enjoy the conversation without interaction.
while there, i witnessed what can only be described as, "the worse thing i have ever seen on a message board.".

Have you watched "Pirates of the Carribean" yet?
by Eyebrow2 inawesome movie...i am not that much of a johnny depp fan but he was absolutely brilliant in this...but his wonderful acting is not required to carry the whole movie.
it is extremely entertaining, and the special effects are excellent.. i was just wondering if anyone else had a chance to see it?
i hardly go to the theater any more (too many kids!!!
