My old man. Because it took me approximatly 27 years to realize just how cool he is. I love him dearly.

I read this subject and one man popped in to my mind.His name was Johnny Hansson. He had started a business about 3 years before.
When I turned 17 my father had died and I had to get a job quickly. I had a sister and a mother to look after.
I quit school early and got a job from this man. I started out picking up and delivering auto and truck parts. I didn't realize it at first, actually for a long time, that this man was educating me. In what is needed to run a business.
After about 5 years he gave me the job of MANAGER! I worked for him for 17 years and we then parted ways. I learned later it was a mistake.
For a long time he would invite me back, in very subtle ways. Sometimes I would not realize this for maybe months.
I came to believe that in some way I was to him, the son he never had. For me I am sure he was the father I no longer had.
He was the epitome of a GOOD MAN. I am sure he is missed. I know I miss him.
Today if you use google and Johnny Hanson or Hanson Motor Supply you will learn a little of him and the business that I had a little hand in starting.
He passed away several years ago and I think of him from time to time and miss him a lot.
