I have a friend who is a Mason.....BUT he doesn't know about this board....He is a very nice person, but of course he is very low on the totem pole of Masonites. Personally I know next to nothing about Masons. My friend doesn't talk about what goes on behind the dark curtain, and I don't ask.

Forget the masons, I hear the Elk's Lodge is the new underground power to be dealt with.

When I was a young teen my Grandmother got me into the Rainbow Girls, that is the organization for the daughters of Eastern Star and Freemason members. Yeah, it was all ""secret" and had certain "members-only" greetings and password to come into the ritual-room doorway.....but it was incredibly boring and I hated IT and the meetings. Any of the "secrets" weren't even worth mentioning, believe me!
I spent my time there, whispering to my best friend and often being told to be quiet and get the stern look from the matrons and the higher-ups----which would then send us into fits of laughter getting us into even more trouble! She and I shared most of the same classes in Junior High school, and we were often in detention together for cutting up in class....
As for me being a 30 year member of the WTS, I guess I wasn't cut out to be a member of anything where I had to follow directions of leaders, sit quietly and attentively during meetings and behave myself according to policy!

Can I start my own cult?
You have to be fourth degree for that.
I think Ianone is a Mason, but he is a member of the Order of Disinformation.

There are JW's, Mormon, 7th Day Adventist, Atheist, Christians and all alike here. One thing we all have in common is that we are human, all a creation. We all eat food, sleep, think, work and live just like everyone else so why worry about who or what is here on this board ?

Your rank and file Mason is just a guy looking for an excuse to drink beer with the guys.
HOWEVER, there are levels of freemasonry that include 'secret' information and 'secret' ritual that gets more and more bizarre, the higher you go.
I am familiar with the breed because i sued them for sexually abusing children in their children's home here in Texas. It was a CESSPOOL of sexual predators for DECADES.
The lawsuit, wherein 28 children (or grown children) sued for horrific sexual abuse which spanned 30 years, took 7 years to conclude, largely due to the self-righteousness of the leadership. As a result, i became familiar with the 'doctrine' of the Masonic order.
And yes, it is a cult.
The treatment these children endured would turn your stomach.

Yes, sexual predation and pedophilia is everywhere. Some cultures are better equipped to protect its members from prosecution than are others.

Robdar,
Will they have those 'special' brownies I keep hearing so much about????
Shhhhhhh! Those brownies are supposed to be a secret!
My Grandfather was Mason and my Grandmother Eastern Star. I have their books. Not too much in there but the symbols are interesting. BTW, the Mason funeral for my grandda was very beautiful.
The Masons and Eastern Star are desperate for members around here. It seems they are dying out. I've been recruited twice. When I have more time, I may join up. Got to keep the family tradition going....Besides, it would be fun to be a part of the infiltration of this board. Bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Oooh, can I be a Rosi-thingy? It's got a ring to it that sounds much better than plain old vanilla "Mason".
