    Thank you Narkissos!

If Christ ransomed Adam, how many lives did he pay for? One. One perfect life for one imperfect. But, if he gave his life as a ransom for ALL, how many lives did he pay for?

    All. Including Adam?

Adam not only forfieted his own perfect human life but the rest of mankind after him. Remember it is Jehovahs PURPOSE that perfect human live on a Paradise earth forever. Adam lost out on that and lost out on that for the rest of mankind. Jesus bought it back.

Too bad Jehovah forgot to explain that in the Bible. Fortunately the Barbour-Russell team came up to sort it out.

Since you're not specific, I'm assuming from this that you looked at the free Interlinear Scripture Analyzer software. (correct me if I'm wrong) I'm also assuming that you were looking at the sublinear text (i.e. correspondent-ransom) and not the AV translation below (i.e. "Who gave himself a ransom for all....") which is slightly different than the NWT translation. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

The two should not be confused. The interlinear and sublinear texts are not the translation. If you continue to peruse that software, or for that matter, any interlinear including the JW, "Kingdom Interlinear" you will see many words that don't appear in the actual translation.

I've explained a linguistic reason for the rendering in most translations. You can choose to accept it or reject it as it suits you, but so far, your stated reasons have been purely theological.

    defd,

Please go back to page one of this thread and read the link re: BIG NEWS...by BARBARA ANDERSON.

Is that clear enough for you? You do not need to know who she is, please just read the thread. Then if you still feel you need to know who she is, read her posting history. Or read her history first then the BIG NEWS thread.

And please, don't insult our intelligence, acting as if you haven't seen the thread on active topics now for days.

    Have a good day.

I am not insulting your intellegence. I HONESTLY do not know who she is and havent read any thread here about her. Sorry for giving you the impression otherwise. I did read some and she was talking about the 2 people the GB appointed as helper. Again I say, So what, whats the big deal?

P.s. By they way I already knew about this long ago when it was first done. It was announced at the Kingdom hall. No big secrect there. D.
