What a stupendous waste of time and effort this thread has been.

All opinions seem to rest at the end of the day in the exact position that they did at the beginning. At least YK can claim inspiration under the mighty hand of a heavenly Ativan. The rest of us should stare at our boots with shame.

two points......

1. thank you for once again proving you cannot respond to the specific topic at hand (which i just threw a big wrench in once again with my last post), and proving you would much rather magnify pointless side issues.

2. i read your link, and please tell me what exactly it was supposed to prove? that the announcement was a surprise? wow, what a revelation! lol, when did i say we (in the business) knew when the announcement to abolish the long bond would come? if it wouldnt have been a surprise announcement, then everyone wouldve known the day they would halt issuing the 30s, and we couldve all gotten rich buying up the old 30s in advance! your links get better and better all the time, proving you scratch and scramble for discrediting info, yet its always out of context. what i did say is that weve known for over a year that is was coming at some point. its been water cooler talk for some time. if i (or the london times), wouldve predicted the exact date, well wed be that much farther ahead of you in the prediction dept, hey? your maniacal laughter doesnt make your point any more valid. LOL

Yes, our YK, he really is an enigma wrapped in an eye-patch, and though given to spite and cruelty on occasion, he is generally quite harmless. He actually represents the many JW’s who are intelligent and understanding within WTS boundaries, but lack common sense. He is best imagined as an Ichabod Crane character, bony finger stabbing the air, and a large drop of nasal effluent hanging from a hooked nose. Apparently he used to be an elder, God forbid that he was given judicial committee status, talk about the hanging judge! These days this Board is the only place that seems to cater to his suspect interpretations.

Like many religionists who are utterly convinced of their own rightness but have to face the appalling indignity of being human, they overcompensate by developing an aura of arrogant pity for the minions preached to, and YK has fallen cleanly into this trap from whence he utters bone-chilling proclamations of terror against anybody who will listen.

As to his prophetic uttering, wrangled rather cleverly from the poetic reaches of Isaiah, Daniel, Habbakuk etc, I long ago ceased discussing them with him, even for the mental exercise, as he has never made any convincing case for their application beyond the C1st and eventually always falls back to the "these interpretations are borne by Gods spirit just to me and no other person", defense. The final position of the theologically compromised.

I tell you all this Jdubla, so that you may see that arguing with YK is as useful as trying to convince a hippopotamus that he is a butterfly. YK may be blind in one eye, his problem is that he has put his eye-patch over the other.
