I know everyone is probably sick of this subject. But if we ever plan on helping others, our family and friends, see the truth, this will be one topic that won't go away. Because this is the foundation for EVERYTHING else! In the end.. he said..like they ALL do, " What does it really matter??
I agree. Without the 607 BCE date, the Governing Body loses their so-called 'biblical' authority and we can't have that now can we?

What's you're sister's phone number? I've got some swamp land in Florida to sell her.
AK-Jeff said: who was it that ever stated that the 7 gentile times start there? That too is a Watchtower assertion, as well as the idea that a year for a day would apply to the prophecy.
I'm not sure.......I figure it was either Russell or Rutherford who came up with that hum-dinger........and as you pointed out, it's totally bogus anyway, because the "7 times" that passed, was simply referring to the 7 years that Nebuchadnezzar went mental and ate grass. That's what de bible says:
(Daniel 4:16) 16 Let its heart be changed from that of mankind, and let the heart of a beast be given to it, and let seven times pass over it.
According to the WTS own publication:
*** w78 6/15 p. 12 Human Governments Crushed by God’s Kingdom "...Jehovah humbled this haughty ruler by letting a mental sickness come on him. For seven years Nebuchadnezzar imagined that he was a bull, going about eating grass."
There's absolutely NOTHING to indicate that these 'seven times' were anything but those seven years.
