Hm, I wonder...every once in a while, this hysteria surfaces...and I`m thinking: What if this is not just a rogue CO? Maybe this is how it works:
The GB looks over their numbers and stats, and realise that the dubs are lazy. They need a little kick in the butt, work harder, place those magz, contribute. So a highstanding WTS-guy speaks at a meeting for those just below him in the hierarchy, that is, he starts a spark. And so the fire spreads down thru the ranks till mass hysteria is achieved, the publishers work harder, more field service, meeting attendance gets better, etc. And the best part of it is that there is no specific date! And after a while, it calms down, and noone even remembers where the rumor came from (perhaps except for the mid-level-guys, but they are to embarassed about contributing in the hysteria, as the big A didn`t come after all, so they just keep their mouth shut). And the result? More money for the WTS...and nowhere to put the blame for the hysteria and paranoia. I think this tactic works (or would work?) even better than the date-setting. There`s nowhere to place the responsibility with this tactic. Business corporations could learn a lot from the WTS, I think!
