"Sorry. Taking the book was wrong. Plain and simple. There is no excuse for theft."
It's a simple matter of ethics. In this case, the ENDS clearly justifies the MEANS to most of us. Why? Because taking a book isn't even that bad in the first place. I mean, I have a few books I never gave back to the city library - and I'm an upstanding citizen who pays his taxes! And we're talking about freaking CHILD MOLESTER policy which shows the hypocrisy and corruption of this disgusting, fraudulent organization.
I cannot be justified in "stealing" library books (15 years ago - sheesh) but Richie's action can be justified 9 times out of 10.
I don't want to say your set of ethics are infantile - but... I will. Your set of ethics are infantile and petty.

Here's my gripe. The book is already known and out. You can easily get copies emailed to you, so taking the book has not given us any new information. In that respect, the anti-jw cause would have been furthered in a more respectable fashion by not stealing the book.

I wouldn't be free today without "stolen" information.
I doubt I'm alone.

"taking the book has not given us any new information."
Wrong. The book had notes written in the margins that were directives from the CO. Aparently you didn't read the history. No worries, we won't kill you. This time. -

Actually, it was an elder (?) that gave RR the keys to go in a locked room to get something for him...in the process he saw the book. Technically, if someone gives you the keys...they are as responsible as he is. He could always offer to pay the $1.00 to replace it, since he doesn't know where the original is....As it's only 1/2 his fault...50 cents should cover the damages.
After all the lies and deceit of the WTS, taking that book was a good deed and hopefully it can help abuse cases everywhere! When I was in, I was told there weren't any "secrets" or "secret books". It should be just like one of the other publications and can easily be paid for. I'm sure RR's mom has more than compensated in her donations for literature!!!

P.S. It's getting hard to get insurance to pay for stolen goods when you give someone the KEYS! So, I'd say they are on rocky ground!

I hope the elder CO can see the kind of support that Richie has on here. He came and looked or a snitch looked for him. I would advise him to BACK OFF and leave the kid alone. Let him fade if that is what he wants. He will have a very public and vocal backlash if he doesn't. The day's of taking a DF'ing or DA'ing quietly have long since past. The power of the Internet is with us and we can make them PAY for every decision they make....

Any reason why they shouldn't ? It's STOLEN property isn't it? Richie has even bragged that he took it didn't he? Theft is theft. It's amazing how you all condone this kind of action
Hey now! WT publications on a donation basis. They never said "except for the Flock book". Just thow a couple of bucks in the donation box and all is forgiven. After all money talks where the WTS is concerned.

What-A-Coincidence

Beep,You're worried about the "theft" of a book. We know where your loyalties are. I would be more concerned about exposing the lying treacherous spies in our midst. It is not a book which is harmful to members of JWD. No, it comes in the form of faithful Jehovah's Witness informants.
