Hi Mx,
I think I can relate a bit to your story and the only thing I can say is : The sooner you leave, the better it is. The transition period is only useless pain and if the people find out that you are about to leave and begin to lovebomb you it is very crappy. So if you can leave, If suggest you to do it.
Of course if you are tough enough to stay and play the game, you can have some fun hehe ;)

It's a big, beautiful world out there, waiting for you to enjoy. Be absolutely certain of things, though, before you make your final move. It can get quite ugly. You are in the "adusting your tv reception" stage... it's a bit hard to see at the moment. THIS IS WHERE US REPAIRPEOPLE come in with our blue collars and help you get "digital TV" so much better than analog huh? There are a lot of people on here that were J dubs and a lot of books you can buy...
Yeah, why go in a year? The alternative shortcut road route is always available! :D ;) You may have to detour along the way because people may stop you. I don't know your circumstances.
