    Not exactly a scientific correlation.

I take it you are not married?

Blondie (still single longer than I have been married)

    Some memorable CO statements:

    1. In an ideal world, siblings (brother with sister) would marry each other; no one knows one as well as one's own littermates. Same upbringing, same mindset and years of familiarity before the onset of lust-hormones would create the perfect partners for a lifetime's companionship.

    2. Physiology instructs us that the man is more intelligent than the woman: after all, men have a larger 'cranial capacity' [imagine this spoken with very sharp "c's," an eerily sibilant "s," and a staccato rhythm] than woman; and a larger brain, of course, infers (and confers) superior intellectual power.

    From the August 22, 1967 Awake (p27).

"Thus a leading authority on the human body....tells us the interesting fact that as regards the human skull there is no difference until the time of puberty; but then as adulthood is reached the difference becomes more and more apparent. The female skull is lighter and its cranial capacity is about 10% smaller that that of the male....True, mere brain size in itself is not as important as brain quality, but where the quality is the same the larger brain capacity has an advantage ( there then follows a quote on brain size and ability in starving Africans)

Implicit in these findings is that man is advantaged by a greater brain size...women must learn the art of 'eternal aquiescence' and 'deep altruism' in dealing with their husbands if they want to find happiness

    ".

I can remember three COs some were nicer but they all wholeheartedly supported and promoted the agenda of this destructive cult.

One of them was very aggressive in this, always reminding the dubs about the person that touched the ark of the covenent in an act of good will so that it wouldn't fall down while being transported but was nonetheless struck down by jehovah. The moral being that anyone trying to correct the FDS even out of good will would be severely punished by jehovah. The FDS are untouchable sacred cows in other words.

They loved so much those savage actions of the old testament god jehovah because they were ideal for intimidating the gullible dubs. It was all about control.

Stilla's description is very accurate. I find the Elders CO's and the Total Org CO's to be the worst pricks usually.

I hated that 'tidy up the CO's coming' bullsh*t. The PO always used to have his hair cut and wear his best suit all week and everyone used to get 'excited', anticipating a 'fine week of spiritual association'. I mean who was this guy supposed to be, Jesus in a suit??? I went through quite a few CO's in my time in the faith and although they came across as nice sometimes, there was always an undercurrent of superiority about them. They weren't 'down to earth' because they didn't live in the real world. Also, why did District Overseers have a better, more luxurious car than the CO's? The phrase 'rank and file' comes to mind. As for preposterous statements made by CO's.....don't get me started!!! Their dislike of kids rings a very strong bell with me though.

    Peace

I did see a DO once at a circuit assembly address a sister with a crying baby directly from the platforum during his talk. After that the "rule" was 3 squawks and the attendants were to be there to escort parent and child out of the auditorium. That rule is still applied in certain areas.

What a terrible and humiliating thing to happen. That just wouldnt have been tolerated in my area. The C/o would have been fired ,i would imagine, round here if he had the temerity to say such a thing.

The only incident i remember of a out of control ,crying little un was when the c/o (who was quite clearly being drowned out lol)stopped the talk and remarked ,in a very kind way i should add, that Children are great critics and maybe he should brush up on his speaking techniques!A great guy..wish i could remember his name.Nearly all the co,s and do,s i remember were pretty good.Only one real jerk..guy named Cleary...i hated the self righteous pig.

CO had come to mean 'Circus Overseer' to me for a long time. Just look at the way the clowns act when he gets there.

I remember some pretty good COs. They and their wives seemed genuinely loving. They brought out the best in our hall, a very loving family spirit.

One CO in particular stands out as a terrible CO. He made you cringe and feel intimidated. He was very arrogant and pounded the brothers during his visits. By his third year it was hard to fill his hospitality list. No one wanted to have him over for lunch or dinner. So the PO had to take him out.

We were all so happy when he was transferred (to a hot desert region I am told.)
