Gumby, You ever have a panic attack?
Do you mean while smoking weed? No. I've had one before and many that felt like one, but weed wasn't a factor. I've had anxious bouts many times and noticed they happen with or without weed.
People....I know tons of people who smoke. Most are well establishe people if not all. Some are managers, some are store owners, some are retired and wealthy....etc. All types of people smoke and you would be surprised if you knew how many did.....or would if they knew how to get it and didn't worry about getting caught.
Weed is as is wine, or spending, or eating, or sex, or whatever the hell it is that people need to make them happy, calm, relaxed, less stressed, whatever. There is no medical evidence it hurts you other than the lungs a bit. So...if your worried....eat it, vaporise it, take it in a pill as it comes in all these flavors if you prefer.
Or, don't do it at all, that's ok too.

I've never smoked pot or done any (illegal) drugs in my life.......hell, I've never even tried smoking a cigarette. The closest I came to smoking pot was a few years ago when I had cancer. It wasn't the radiation that made me sick, it was the anesthetic......I was sick as a dog and couldn't eat or keep anything down. The prescription they gave me for the nausea didn't do anything to help, so a good friend of my (former Dub and MS) said that if I needed some pot he would get me some.
Now here's the thing: in Canada, it's legal to smoke pot if you have cancer and are sick because of chemo or radiation. However, the pot that the government grows is so bad, that you still have to go to a drug dealer to get some decent stuff!! Anyway, I came within a hair's breath of telling him to get me some but fortunately, the nausea finally started to go away after about 9 days......
Gumbers, I'm reporting you to your local elder body and to Mouthy for your pot-smokin......how do you expect to advance in God's Organization when yer whacked outta yer mind all day??
Tsk, tsk, tsk......

Ever done acid while working with glass?
How old are your friends?.... Panic attacks, like they're afraid there mommy and daddy are going to come home and catch them?..
Where I live it is very socially acceptable to use cannabis.. Maybe that's why I don't get panic attacks...
Pot smoking is a success killer. It stifles your drive to succeed.
So in other words... it wasn't cannabis users that work their asses off to get laws changed?

My research has recently been exploring the roles of cannabinoid receptors in memory formation and motivational processes. What we do know is that CB1 receptors are activated by THC in specific limbic pathways involved in mediating the motivational effects of a variety of other drugs of abuse, including nicotine, alcohol, cocaine, etc. However, the psychotropic effects produced by all of these compounds are profoundly different. In terms of euphorigenesis, cannabis is way down the list, and far less addictive than nicotine or alcohol. Cannabinoids also profoundly influence emotional memory formation, as we have recently published.
High enough doses produce memory and learning impairments in humans and animals and/or psychosis through actions on the mesocortical and mesolimbic dopamine systems. However, there is NO compelling evidence that cannabis serves as a "gateway" drug. In fact, there is far greater co-morbidity between nicotine and alcohol addiction than between cannabis and any other psychostimulant.
Finally, there is compelling evidence that THC produces many beneficial cellular effects and may serve as a protective factor in certain neuropsychiatric conditions. It is absolutely ludicrous to keep cannabis illegal while keeping tobacco and alcohol legal, when the latter two drugs produce far more deaths and associated diseases. The neuropsychopharmacology research community has known this for decades, unfortunately, its archaic old political farts that come up with these outdated, 1950's inspired "reefer madness" paranoia laws.

I will never forget a show I watched on HBO, about a young boy with so many problems, ADD, anger ,he really had some kind of chemical imbalance and could not function. His mother and doctors were at their wits end and they put him on Cannabis, in a pill form. She was fighting to keep him on it but she ended up having to do it illegally. There was a great, and I mean a great change in the boy when he was on it. He wasnt acting high, he acted normal and would communicate, and I think he had some form of autisim as well. This might have been on Montel Williams show is I think back now.
Each case is different, I wouldnt do it for a kid with just ADD, but this kid could not function and would go into his own world.

Now I'm not saying that a person that uses Cannabis always thinks clearly, But at least they Think... when someone is under the influence of alchohol or (manufactured) opiates, they "generally" don't think..
I beg to differ. When I tried to smoke pot, it made me paranoid as hell! I didn't like the high, couldn't understand the high, all that I could "think" about was when is this going to be over! I never liked it, and never will. I can drink alcohol without feeling paranoid, although I don't drink much or often. When it comes to pain pills, I can't take tylenol with codiene because it makes me nauseous. Demerol doesn't do anything for my pain. Morphine kills my pain and so does Lortab. So if I'm going to have any kind of procedure, I request Morphine or Lortab for the pain.
I guess it depends on the person's body? I hate weed.
