    HOLD ON ONE MINUTE THERE!

The Watchtower has NEVER before required that an "old" edition of a book be turned in before one could get a "new" copy before!

Is this literature servant making up something on his own? or is there truly a Watchtower directive for people to turn in their old copies of the Revelation book?

I don't think the Watchtower corporation is really set up to re-cycle old books, and REALLY, how many old copies do they expect to get back? Enough to make any recycling project worthwhile? Can we say COVER STORY here?

Hah. This corroborates what I heard about the new Rev. book including the revisions, not just a reprinting! Finally I am vindicated....

Hehehe....Glad to be of service, Daniel. But, really, I can't tell you how surprised I was to have this one just fall into my lap. And, really, I still want to get the Sept. KM because I've heard that there are some other articles in it that would be interesting to look over. Alas, I failed in this part of my mission last night. Sigh.... In His Grace, PointlessShrew

Me thinks this lit servant found out there is a demand on Ebay for old Revelation books and he's collecting them on his own. :)

The society should have confiscated all the bound volumes out there before coming out with the CDs too as there are MANY differences between the orignal lit and that contained in the CDs! My husband decided to throw out his bound volumes and I thought that was HUGE until I found out that my mother in laws husband who is also still an Elder was getting rid of his as well "because he has the CDs to do research with." As far as the Dubs are concerned just because the Society changed shit...just means the light is getting brighter and there is nothing insidious about it. :)

The only thing that looks interesting to me in the new Sep. KM is the front "Branch Letter," which breifly mentions that the reason for the Bethel lay-offs is newer technology. PLUS, on page 2, under the schedule for the week of September 11 there will be a part based on that Branch Letter, referring to the Organized book, page 109, pa 1-3. These paragraphs talk about "sending more workers into the fields" and how the end is coming soon. This should be pretty interesting, as the thousand or so former Bethelites are expected to make a huge difference in the US where most of them are being sent, a country where they are approaching negative growth. You gotta love the spin!

So you checked the new book and saw that all the changes are in there? Sounds like the WTS is going to have problems when some people come to the BS with an old copy with the changes insert and some come with a new book.....Sounds like the Daniel book all over...confusion will reign. Blondie

    Interesting,
The soft cover edition I have dosn't have any of the changes. But I got it well before the KM article.

It shows how the departments at Bethel are often in conflict with each other and with themselves, since there are often "pet projects," and even "pet policies," belonging to one or more influential heavies who might finally get their big break and have something published or done on their recommendation. Sort of like King's Favor's granted to the courtiers....

Well...... I think that those returned "old light" Revelation Climax books will be seen in the future as individual pages being handed out at the restroom doors as toilet paper since they are trying to cut costs.

Of course, we realize that it is only in OS congregation that reportedly the literature servant asked one sister for her old book. There is no evidence that this is a WT policy.
