To be a Nice Apostate or a Mean Apostate.....

I have never played their game. If they want to avoid me then it is up to them to "get away" from me. I have never turned away, lowered my head or avoided them. If I see them I will say hello and be friendly as that is just my nature. Most will say hello and smile in return and hen keep walking. My dub wife has many friends come to the house and most of them will talk to me and be friendly, yet there are a few butt heads.

Years back there were a few who did not want to even say hello when they came into my house until they needed to borrow my truck or needed help with something. They they would be very friendly and once the job was done they would again not even greet me in my own house. I put an end to that really fast. They quickly learned that if your nice to me I will bend over backwards for you if your an ass I will re-define meanness for you. So i guess it is up to them if I'm a nice or mean apostate.

What the heck... next time you see someone, just walk over and give them a BIG hug...

Gordon....this would probably work but the JWs are so paranoid about having a "dreaded APOSSSSSTATE" (can't you just hear the "SSSSS" sound like a snake hissing?) BE NEAR them, I would be afraid they would be totally offended (or frightened) if I touched them.....hug or not. ANY touching of a person could be grounds for a battery conviction in this area....and I think that a JW would definetly take advantage of this fact and make the "offender" quite sorry via a lawsuit.

This probably sounds far-fetched....but we have to be careful AND aware of what "the other guy" might do. Otherwise.....it would sound like something I would actually DO, haha!

    hugs,,

How many TIMES have we seen this same thing mentioned???

The JWs are oh-so-pious and obedient to the WTS until they need something and they revert back to "normal" human beings again until the service being rendered is over. HYPOCRITES!!!! I have seen this in my own family and it is SO transparent----and quite typical of the JWs.

I used to be horrified and get all shaky and turn red when I saw a dub. But now that my whole family, and friends are out, I have nothing to lose. I don't go out of my way to say hi..but I will no turn away from them, and if we make eye contact I smile and say "Hi, How are you". Sometimes, if its a particular annoying JW I see in the store, I make sure they have to run into me several times.

My Dad refuses to allow shunning. He is extra friendly to and dubs he sees, and if I am with him, he'll include me right in the converasation, so they have no choice but to interact with me., I bet they run home and take hot showers to scub the DFing off of them.

sKally, You are nuts! I love it! That would been 'the best part of waking up' if I had been on your block. I'm a wus when it comes to seeing Witnesses. It hardly ever happens, but when it does, I just look at them then feel ill and it bugs me for like a day, then I forget about it. But, I feel happy that they are getting their instant karma by staying in that cesspool of haters.

Thanks, I think. But nuts I'm not. Determined, driven, passionate...I am.

    POLL:

Who do you think the householder will focus on...the person with the fliers of facts, resources, court documents, journals, news and letters or ...

the person with tracts that bash the householders religion, world and family with secular misrepresentations and hidden lethal policies ?

What will be interesting is to see if this elder and these sisters actually use their field experience at the next meeting. I can't wait to watch them turn white when I pull into the parking lot Sunday and maybe on TMS night. LOLOLOL I'll be sure to turn the audio recorder on before I walk in so it doesn't beep, and leave before the recorder beeps after an hour. Damn, I should have had it the other day to record that elder. Maybe next time.

JWs are nothing, and I won't adjust my day to day activities because of them. If I see someone who I know and like, I'll stop and speak to them. Otherwise I quietly go about my own business. Since there are no JWs that I like I see no reason to force myself upon them just to make a point. If a JW says hello to me I'll be civil as long as they are.

I tried being 'nice' when I was greeted by an old JW friend at the supermarket. As we talked, she encouraged me to come back to the meetings and not to let "anyone keep me from returning to Jehovah." I just smiled indulgently, because I really was not in the mood for a confrontation. However, she kept pushing it. So I let her have it. The shunning, 1914, the GB mistakes, the lack of love, etc. She argued a bit - 'imperfect men, blah, blah' - then she got a look of genuine horror in her eyes and said, "You're not an apostate, are you?" (I thought about saying, 'Heck no. I just forgot to go to the meetings for 35 years.') I said, "Yes, absolutely. Actively." She said, "I may not acknowledge you the next time I see you." I said I understood, but that I would acknowledge her because I can do anything I want.

    Uhhhhhh..................put me down as 'mean.'

I have run into them quite often since
the college I attend has some Jehovah's
    Witnesses.

My position is neither here nor there
    concerning them.

    Respectfully,

    The Wanderer
