Tigerman, if he were a single man, I would give a FF what he did as long as he didn't hurt anybody. But - he is married. He took vows before man and God/Goddess. That makes him an adulterer, and I'm sure his wife and kids aren't just shrugging their shoulders and saying "oh well, human fraility and all that jazz". He is also a freaking hypocrite, and not just a rank and file type of hypocrite, he is a BIG TIME hypocrite. I hope his congregation hoists him on the highest petard they can find and flings his ass way up there in the air, where all can see it. I'm GLAD this is getting press. We need more of this kind of press, and the JWs sure need this kind of press, too.

I suspect that this will be a rather uncomfortable weekend at the Ted Haggard tax-free mansion. You see, Reverend Haggard is a vociferous spokesperson against gay marriage and, until yesterday, his wife probably had no idea she was actually in one.
Oh, I can hear some of you gals used to being around florists and Governors of New Jersey -- and Texas -- cackling. You think I'm selling the woman's intuition for pushily obvious queenery short. But if Haggard's unblinking congregation could sit and listen to such a liturgical Liberace week after week and not realize they were in the presence of someone who makes Barry Manilow in a full-length mink look butch, they really need to recalibrate their ability to detect prescription-strength doses of flamboyance. Because if you can't tell that Haggard is not just gay, but marabou mules wearing gay, you must have bought your refurbished Gaydar at the same kiosk Tom Cruise got his E-meter.
But before everyone piles on with protestations of shock and awe, allow me to pause for praise where it is due for this man Harper’s claimed to hold more sway over the political direction of evangelicalism than any pastor in America. When I decide to try drugs, I think I TOO will go with one of the most lethal and addictive ones for my starter drug. Then eventually I will work myself down to cocaine and pot and then to the occasional sip of sacramental wine. Right. I was ready to believe the best till I heard about the meth confession. Who does he think he is fooling??? Not even me, I am about the most gullible person around.

Well, I am not judging him for having gay sex, more power to him. But, what about the pain he's brought his wife and kids, and the church people who trusted him to not deceive them, to tell them the truth, and to actually live the life he preached! You know, walk the talk.
He also did lots of damage to gay people's rights, and indirectly to their families, locally. Every time a vote came up to just let gay families have what everyone else has, he was loud and obnoxious in campaigning against it. He has hurt a lot of good people by hamming up the gay tirades, so nobody will ever guess. That's what makes me angry; his selfishness and maybe, cowardice. If he's gay, or bisexual, just be honest about it. This past week, Rev. Benjamin Reynolds of possibly the largest black church in Colorado Springs, at 1 S. Walnut St., came out to his congregation as a gay man. Many couldn't handle it, so he's looking for a new church where he can serve and do good for the community. No games, no lies, and no harming innocent people by exaggerated disdain for gays to cover his own ass.
That's just not right.

It just get's me when people hate other people who they don't know, and then have the nerve to say that they all are bad and drug users, and then they are doing the very thing that they hate the other group of people for doing---like Rush Limbaugh--now Haggard.
Religion, politics, and con man are synonymous.
Ok let me put a qualifier on this. Many religions and politicians should be considered con men. They are just trying to make money. IMHO
