Should Uninvited D to D Work of Jehovah's Witnesses be against the Law?

I haven't read all of the replies to this, so maybe this point has been addressed by now. If someone, anyone desires to speak publicly about their religious beliefs, then they have that right and freedom that is above any law of man.

If, however, a person is representing a corporate entity like the WTBTS in an organized commercial enterprise as a public relations worker, whether by leaving literature bearing the name of said corporation or by collecting donations to support said corporation, then one is conducting business and should be regulated by the appropriate authorities. I cannot see something like this being "against the law" so much as it should be "under the law", regulated by statute.

So, now that I am out, I see the whining of the Watchtower corporation for what it really is. It is not about the freedom of religion or the freedom of speech. All they really care about is money.

even mentioned my new do not call notice on my front door and said it didnt apply to them.

nelly, some JWs are older and live mentally back in the days when JWs were flooding the jails, so JWs could preach d2d on Sunday (1940's). They don't hear when it is read from the platform that no trespassing signs are not to be ignore by JWs and what the procedures are regarding DNC requests.

I suggest if you get a JW like that is to get their name (and physical description if they refuse to give their name) and call just before the JW meeting time and ask for the PO. Tell him their name, date, and the fact they said that the DNC does not apply to them.

The best thing to do is to put up a legal no trespassing sign and call the police.

Myself I really think police have more important things to do than to moderate the people using D2D canvasing . I'm not worried about terrorists so that would simply be paranoia you might need some professional help if you are that worried about a terrorist knocking on your door so as to blow you up. A true christian wouldn't worry about being thrown in prison for their beliefs so it wouldn't stop them anyway . I don't like people coming around here myself , I do get mormons and kids selling candy but I don't have a keep out sign up either. Some people no doubt will abuse their freedom as I do agree everybody is entitled to rights of privacy .There have been many D2D crooks , especially after disasters , I've known people that were conned over repair work .I think the buisnesses that do it should be registered to protect the consumer. It definately is an issue to take a long hard look at .Many pros and cons .

Since there are "protected pedophiles"...I think the d to d should be banned.

I wish there was a way of informing and convincing our government of those "protected pedophiles" and thus make it an endangerment to the citizens of the USA to allow the d to d.

Any ideas how to effectively do this?
